      Bolt action 5.56/.223 plinker

Thank you for sharing that experience. What do you mean by a box magazine in this context, like a proprietary magazine designed for the bolt gun specifically, rather than a commonly used mag (like AR) that you retro fit a rifle into taking? Many bolt guns use factory rotary magazines, and...

      Bolt action 5.56/.223 plinker

The new Ruger American Predator takes AR mags, and although has a cheap stock, does supposedly shoot pretty well. It can be had for a little over $400.

Anyone else have problems with Frontier Ammunition?

Thank you. I don't have the means to shoot steel anywhere unfortunately. I've been looking into bolt action rifles, but I agree that I may be better off getting a scope first and test out the limits of my AR while improving my skills. I'm not ready for the reloading game, what ammo choice do...

Anyone else have problems with Frontier Ammunition?

I have a LWRC individual carbine with heavy barrel. Have only shot it with a red dot (holosun 510c), but never shot to 50 yards even and never bench rested. Have shot paper targets and water bottles, seem to be hitting generally where I want it to when I'm doing my part, but never really...

Anyone else have problems with Frontier Ammunition?

If an economist assumes he can shoot more accurately by going from an AR15 to an entry level bolt action rifle in 223 without upgrading ammo (in the 25 cpr range, wolf gold, federal, etc), would that work? The other important assumption is that economist is pretty new to guns and a mediocre shot...

I assume the setup is an AR15 with a scope?

How does expertcity work? Do you have to be a government employee to be eligible?

      .308 precision discussion

For bolt rifles, apparently the ones made today are all pretty accurate even at lower price points, the difference comes in fit and finish, action smoothness, etc. I contemplated Mossberg mvp that takes AR mags, but many say it’s got a terribly sloppy action, although very precise.

David Hogg goes to Harvard #futureleader

Related to that, the lefty extremists in California have gone further in an effort to divide Asians by country of origin, because "being Asian alone doesn't give everyone an equal advantage/privilege"...

The only reservation Harvard has for his admission is that they wish he were black.

Wild Hog Hunts Driveable from DMV? SC?

That's what I was thinking. Either let them keep the meat for a lower hunting charge on my part, or donate the meat to some person or organization.

Wild Hog Hunts Driveable from DMV? SC?

Sorry if this is a strange question. I'm happy to taste a kill but there is a chance my family may be hesitant to cleaning and cooking animals caught in the wild.
