Who's getting in some fishing?

I had a club tnx yesterday out of HdG and came in second with 13.78 pounds. Best 5 bass.
Last weekend I caught a 13.77 pound Snakehead in the HdG area and a few weeks prior I got one that weighed 13.34 pounds and 34'' long in Dundee creek right next to the marina. Both snakes I killed and gave to someone on the bank.

We went out on the upper potomac for a little fishing/swimming/tubing today. I lost count of the 2-5 lb channel cats the kids caught on clam snouts. I managed a couple little smallmouth between unhooking catfish on the kids rods.

Some of this pics were from before 1 June when we were trolling deck rods.

Once spot fish became available and the river opened up, been doing nothing but live lining.

Saw a video of a guy that makes/sells topless crab traps that are ~2" larger than the typ size.,, but they get about a 40% more catch rate.
I'll have to find the link,,

Somewhere there is a video of a guy that actually laid out a few small and a few large and the increase in catch of the 2" larger traps was stunning.

Slow day at mattawoman ...my buddy caught one 2lb LMB on a whopper popper,and I managed this 3lb on a 3wt fly rod ...it must have been hungry for sure ...but what a good tug of war we had....

There was a very large tnx there today and it continues for two more days. A good buddy and club member is in 3rd place on the rider side after todays "day 1"

Took my daughter fishing at a pond a couple nights ago. This guy was quizzing me on what I was doing and kept trying to get me to let my daughter try his rig so she could catch a fish. “Thanks bud, we’re good.” After 45 minutes of watching him help little kids around the pond catch fish within 10 seconds of putting the hook in the water over and over and my daughter and I getting skunked, I came up to him and said, “alright you obviously know a lot. What am I doing wrong?” He gave me a few tips.

Tonight I took my son and daughter to the pond. The boy caught 13 fish and my daughter got 4. I was constantly helping the kids with worms and taking fish off the line and only had my pole in the water for 5 minutes.

Ahhh.....yep, we saw them...they all came motoring in at pretty much the same time ...figured thats what it was....I should have gotten there earlier and stalked them to their spots

I took this guy on my 4wt while fishing for rainbows in AK. He put up one hell of a fight!
