Probably my favorite match to shoot over the last couple years. Sadly I worked Friday into Saturday morning and missed the shoot. Scores are typically posted very quickly. Just wondering if anyone knows what’s up.
    Thanks

For whatever reason, they are terrible about posting scores to Practiscore these days. You will need to email action shooting and request that they do so. They only posted the last scores after I bugged them about it. I find it very helpful, personally.

Practiscore has been super buggy the last few months. It’s super aggravating. We are trying but a free system has its downsides

The shoot was cancelled due to the weather forecast. Not sure what forecast they were looking at but it wasn’t supposed to rain until the afternoon. Started raining around 1.
That was the first match I signed up for this year, I was bummed.

How were you notified it was canceled. I didn’t get anything. Seems to me the weather was fine. I’ve shot a match there in the rain before with temp in the 50s.
If I had of went there on a few hours sleep to find out it was cancelled I’d have been fvcking pissed.

Email. The weather was fine, they were worried about thunderstorms that were forecasted for that day

Yeah, those pesky early morning thunderstorms, lol. I went on a PGR mission since the match was cancelled, should have brought sunscreen.

Hopefully the powers that be revisit their cancellation policy, this was complete BS.

Looking forward to May's event. What is the "defensive pistol" category? Open auto and auto I get but def pistol seems to combine the two. It might be fun to try my p365...

Carry pistols/subcompacts: P365, G43, Hellcat, Shield, LCP, etc.
Actually according to the rules a P320 Carry model would be GTG. As would a Springfield XDM with the 3.8" barrel and I'm sure more than a few other full size guns.

Not a lot of interest, only four out of 100 guns were in that division Sunday.

I wonder how many others with guns from defensive pistol shot in the fun division to avoid the stupid magazine restrictions like I did?

Probably some. My understanding is that the 10rd limit was imposed to match up with some of the bigger steel matches. If you practice reloading and stage planning (and don't miss a bunch), it's really a non-issue outside of the expense of more mag pouches. I wasn't at the last match, but my bigger beef is more often that the stages don't provide any good options for avoiding standing reloads no matter what the capacity is.

What are these matches you speak of?
    Thanks

Not sure how many shooters at AGC are part of the SC shooting circuit. It should be a division if people want to limit to 10 rounds. It falls right in line and justifies the “no one needs more than 10 rounds” argument.
I still really enjoy the match and will just keep shooting the fun division.

Plenty of other shooting sports have divisions with round limits at 10 and under. IDPA only recently went to 15 with SSP, and is still 6 (BUG, REVO), 8 (CDP), and 10 (CCP/ESP/CO) for the other divisions. USPSA Production (and Limited 10) is 10, and revolver and Single Stack are 8. SASP has a ten round limit.

I think the ten round limits test reloading and stage planning skills, and otherwise make for a tougher match. I shoot revo from time to time, and reloading every 6 or 8 rounds really makes you think harder, and test yourself more. Just standing there and blasting isn't proving much, and I say that as someone who's pretty good at stand-and-deliver.

ETA: these changes were designed to mitigate against what people like me did: buy a nice 2011, slap a 170mm magazine in it, and have a huge advantage against people shooting normal guns.

Hope that’s not what spurred this on. When you start changing rules because you’re getting beat that’s a sad situation. There’s a reason for the multiple categories. So I can shoot my ( insert any firearm) and compare myself to others in that category. If I choose to shoot my 1911 and get beat by a 2011 who cares. Hell they me have beat me even if I was shooting my 2011.
I’ll also add “normal guns” is a rapidly changing scale. The average carry gun these days holds more than ten rounds.
