The article said evidence showed that two other individuals were inside the stolen car with Karon. So much failure and deliberate neglect by the families here. It may not be the case here, but I have no doubt there been instances where the kids have been "put to work" by the parent(s).

If by "put to work" you mean drug trafficking then yes, drug dealers are using these teens to move their drugs for them mainly due to their age protected status. Ever wonder why certain facets of society are so against law enforcement using curfews as a tool to help get these teens off the streets late at night? It's not hard to figure out when you catch a teen with a wad of cash in his pocket and ask them how they got it, AND, when you try to discipline the teens and restrict their movement you get your hands slapped by certain facets of society.

Not making excuses for anyone but this is not just a black thing, otherwise it would have been squashed by now. Anyone who's ever worked with DEA or any other type of drug enforcement/interdiction understands the frustration.

BLM has even admitted it a few times, and it's gone over people's heads, that it's about the legalization of illicit drugs.

The only black lives they care about are the ones moving product.

This reward notice is still up on MPD's website: https://mpdc.dc.gov/publication/homicide-victim-karon-blake

Why was this posted when the shooter told the police on-scene that he was the shooter? Is the reward for another purpose here? I'm confused.

Also, here's a news clip which shows the scene and some investigative forensics being done:

I saw an information gathering notice at your link.

    Not a reward notice.

    Thanks for the corrected link.

Why isn't the media using that photo?

How does that cap stay on his head?
Sure. This reward notice was listed as an "attachment" on the original link but I didn't link it directly.

It doesn't engender as much sympathy as what they're currently using. Mainstream media always seems to show photos from a few years earlier where they appear harmless.

    Static friction and tension.

    Up to $25,000 Reward
For information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible.

well, it’s definitely “homicide” but, without knowing the shooter’s reason he feared for his life (screwdriver assault kills with the pokey-pokey/stabby-stabby just as well as a bullet or a knife), and shot the 13 year old gang-banger hood rat daid (not to be all judgey about the yute) I’ll withhold judgment on whether it’s justifiable homicide in defense of life.

but I’m giving the shooter the benefit of the doubt.

    as should we all.
