Oh man I love it when they tee it up so well
So, do we shore up places like West Virginia or Florida or Tennessee - to keep them red - or keep voting in Maryland like we think the huge generational blue majority in this state will wake up one morning and do a complete 180 on their entire world view?We gotta stop running and leaving for greener pastures , eventually we run out of pastures ans then they have most of the states and get something Federally done.

I think there are several other threads on this debate already...So, do we shore up places like West Virginia or Florida or Tennessee - to keep them red - or keep voting in Maryland like we think the huge generational blue majority in this state will wake up one morning and do a complete 180 on their entire world view?
My opinion is that this should be taken to a separate thread. This debate always pollutes one MGA Bill thread or another until it becomes impossible to find out what's happening with the bill that the thread was about. It’s a serious question. What’s the game plan to turn three quarters of Maryland voters into the opposite of themselves? Likewise, what’s the game plan to offset the migration of suburb-fleeing liberals into states still hanging on to their red legislative teams?
Specifically, I mean.
I’m Maryland, my cash goes to what we CAN win, which is litigation.
You're right. The MGA's ugliness can certainly be laid at the feet of this state's voting demographic, but those are two separate issues. My opinion is that this should be taken to a separate thread. This debate always pollutes one MGA Bill thread or another until it becomes impossible to find out what's happening with the bill that the thread was about.
GET A ROOM OR TAKE IT OUTSIDE, GUYS!
I'm tired of going through pages of side conversations to discover I missed something important. I don't care if you relocate to Uranus, as long as I can stay current on the MGA shenanigans. And I don't think I'm alone in this thought.
Yea, Falling Waters is where alot of MCFRS co workers live lolNot to side track the thread too much, but Falling Waters or Shepherdstown, WV may be good options and are well within that range. Both closer to 60 minutes in non-rush hour traffic.
Yea MCFRS is kinda "shotgunned" all around the county, only 15% live IN countyThere are a couple of guys in your department that live out in Louden County, VA, one of them does OT in the Communications shop working on radios.
I feel you, I donate to MSI so they can spend $ on litigation. I've emailed and snail mailed my reps (taking examples written in here and adjusting them for my reps). It won't do anything but at least I have done SOMETHING. It looks like so far the scheduled days I'm working so theres thatYou're right. The MGA's ugliness can certainly be laid at the feet of this state's voting demographic, but those are two separate issues.
I have already loaded up the mailboxes of my so-called representatives - both printed and electronic - with my thoughts on every single one of the bills in question. I know it's pointless, but I'm still doing it just like I do every single year, before I get more spitting mad and attempt to make some meaningful phone calls to the same. The form letters I get back, explaining how I'm not really the sort of person they're looking to get advice from, are part of the ritual. But if I become aware of useful communication or some very unlikely change of heart, I will add that info here, and only that.
First day in the forums? Come on man, it's the MDS way.My opinion is that this should be taken to a separate thread. This debate always pollutes one MGA Bill thread or another until it becomes impossible to find out what's happening with the bill that the thread was about.

Heck if that is the case, take a reserve engine place it in Falling Waters and vola a new sub station for all the MCFRS who live in Falling Waters ,in case a engine is needed asap.Yea, Falling Waters is where alot of MCFRS co workers live lol

We don't need 3/4. MD is 2:1 D. If we get one third to shift, we have the supermajority. If we get 1/4 to shift, we winIt’s a serious question, BB. I suspect if we can win over the Fudds and convince them that the MGA is after them too, we can pull off a win. Or maybe even a smackdown. We don't need 3/4. MD is 2:1 D. If we get one third to shift, we have the supermajority. If we get 1/4 to shift, we win
That it did. These restrictions are not going to stand. "A certain distance" They are trying to make every place a prohibited place. The Bruen decision specifically stated these kinds of laws are shenanigans, and will be treated like shenanigans.
