    Anyone remember the “empty holster” rally? How cool would it be if 88,000 people showed up open carrying In Annapolis?

    In my opinion they should take it from the states. The 2A is awarded to the fed which means the states shouldnt have a say. Just like Abortion is a states thing since its not mentioned in COTUS its a states rights issue.

    That's a terrible idea. It's great now that there is a conservative majority with the Supreme Court, but a liberal majority Supreme Court could flip the script very easily.

    If they truly ban carrying everywhere except your home, I wonder if there is an avenue to sue the state for a refund of your permit fees, since the product you paid for no longer exists.

    Silver lining is that they went so over the top that this may be the law that the SCOTUS ultimately uses to knock them all out and may even then see how nuts anti-gun states can get and void any permitting process and any sensitive area legislation outside of federal buildings and courts etc.

    My buddy pointed this out to me;

    Does this bill actually exempt the wear, carry, or transport of firearms on "Property owned by the state or a political subdivision of the state?"

    I remember 2013... does it really matter? The entire state could show up and they don't give a crap. Until they start losing elections (they haven't) they could care less.
    This.

    I'm not saying it makes NO difference, but it doesn't make as big a difference as it should.

    Elections and courts are the only things that will stop this.

    I hate this state.

    In MD, elections will not stop it. As long as the MD GOP primary voters keep insisting on voting with their middle fingers and nominating unelectable candidates because it feels good, Dems will continue to hold all the power in MD government.

    SB118? Yes it does. It is about posting of the property. Basically it says private property has to be posted or express permission to have a firearm there.

    Public property, or a public easement on private property is exempt from the posting/express permission requirement.

    Supposing compelled speech by property owners was reasonable, and it isn't, then this bill is actually somewhat sensical in this respect, especially calling out public easements not being subject to the posting/permission requirement.

    But don't worry, SB118 bans firearms from EVERYWHERE except your own personal property.

    This bill was co-sponsored and funded by every corrupt public official in the state and every criminal in the state.
    They all lost a lot of money due to the increased number of lawful guns being carried.
    With this, gangs can go back to collecting protection on their blocks. Inspectors can go back to collecting cash tips to not make up violations.
