Been carrying for quite a few years. No call outs so far. I was hesitant to post in fear of what tomorrow might bring.

A couple of weeks ago I was in a store with a customer. I was up on a ladder raising my arms (so shirt was up), and customer was on the ground by the ladder. I was sure he was going to bust me. But he never said a word, or indicated that he saw a thing. I figure if I can pass that test, then I'm pretty good for concealment
Few weeks back I saw this lady and two store employees of a grocery store looking at a product on the top row out of reach for their height. So they radio for a ladder as two more employees came to see when I offered if they needed help. I didn’t realize it was on the top shelf about a foot back. Full arm extension and a slight jump to get it down. I told myself I knew for a fact they saw it holstered at 3:30. All I got was “thanks and it pays to be tall” I quickly left as I myself felt uncomfortable as my cover was blown at the store I shop at weekly by multiple store employees. Lol

Once a week for four years I was up and down a ladder changing dead fluorescent tubes while being assisted by a couple of employees who are gun guys themselves. I was always carrying either a Glock 27 IWB at 4:30 or an LCP in a pocket holster. After four years I asked them if they could tell I carried. Even though my hardware was literally at their eye level much of the time they said they never once spotted a gun.

Once. First time in 10 years of daily carry and it happened a few weeks ago by my radical lib sister-in-law at a restaurant. My youngest kid dropped something, I spun to my right and leaned over quickly to try and grab it/catch it. I immediately wondered if I exposed my 430 iwb knowing my flannel shirt was a little short for the maneuver I just pulled.. Almost immediately I hear this annoying voice "REALLY SHARPSTER? REEEEALLY?!" ... I play it off and say "what..?" and she doesn't take the hint and continues "Reallying" me. I then say, "Yes, always and everywhere now lets stop talking about it" A few minutes later she randomly blurts out "I'm glad, it makes me feel more comfortable." All the while annoying me that it was now mentioned yet again... (whether her comment was true or not Idk and have my doubts based on other convos.) Still pissed at myself that the first time I was "made" had to be by someone I do not enjoy much.

Lesson learned: Don't knowingly wear clothes you already are aware aren't ideal for the way you are carrying just because you've never been called out before... If you actually care about not being called out of course.

Flipping through Shotgun News in a Walmart and an old lady came over and asked me if I carried.

I told her no, but one of the employees may help her with her purchases.

Seen a few folks printing here and there but that's their business.

Panty lines; now I'll never stop looking at those.

    Pennsylvania here, and never directly.

20+ years ago, on the way for my Utah class, grabbing coffee at my usual place, I decided to OC. Register girl said something to the owners daughter, and I heard her reply “I know, that’s the second one today” as she was looking at the Sig on my hip. Nobody said anything to me.

I usually am CC, but out hiking the trails and river locally, I am always open carry. We get a lot of NY and NJ tourists, have gotten a few looks, but no comments. It’s just fairly normal to be carrying here. The few times I have been OC around town it’s the same, looks, not stares, no comments.

Anti (ex) GF felt it a few times and asked “Why here?” I just answered “Everywhere”. I don’t really count that as being called out.

My NJ g/f isn't fond of guns. The other night, when she was in town, we took a long walk in Towson at night. I said that I would have felt better if I were "accessorized." She said it was ok for me to carry around her so long as she didn't know about it. The camel's nose is under the tent. I mentioned to her that I reported a defect in my holster, and she was surprised I used one. I suppose she would have thought that I'd just shove it in a pocket. I told her about needed to cover up the trigger guard to avoid Glock Leg.

On a fashion note, she said she liked the look of my untucked plaid shirt. She didn't put 2+2 together on that one or the black t-shirts I wear now.

*****Yea, it's nice having girlfriends in all the 57 or so states, plus the territories.. I've never had a problem with the Jersey ones but don't get me started on the California or Virgin Island ones! :innocent0

When I was younger I'd check out panty lines on young ladies.
Now I check out gun prints on dudes.
The young ladies whose panty lines are worth checking out shouldn't wear panties; ruins the look.

*****That's a good tip. I teach the W&C class and we discuss this for folks that have concerns about printing, etc.. It is easy for a shirt or cover garment to hang up on the pistol if it is rubber, but also for some that have grip enhancers as some of us use in competition, etc... (sandpaper grips, etc..).

There are some carry configurations that lend themselves to having a cover garment get hung up and it is a good idea to experiment a bit to see what works best for your body type as well as what type of firearm/grip configuration you may be carrying and make adjustments as needed, especially if you have to stand/sit a bit, or get in and out of a vehicle, etc..

We have a great thread here on MDS regarding carry configurations, and it has a lot of pics of what has worked for folks that carry daily or have lots of experience with CCW even though our Maryland W&C permit does NOT restrict open carry.

I live in MoCo amongst folks that are still not used to seeing armed citizens, so someone spotting a "concealed" gun on a "citizen" might have them calling the police for a man with a gun, etc.. No biggie if you have a permit of course, but concealed means concealed so if that is what you are going for, there are plenty of options that can work really well for folks of all sizes, and at all times of the year.

Warmer weather I usually pocket carry, but in colder months a cover garment opens up a lot more options and it is easier for a CrossFitting, kinda anorexical looking guy like me to carry a larger framed pistol either IWB or OWB.

Pic below is not me, as I would be using (slightly) bigger weights than that dweeb and I don't 6 o'clock carry like he is...

    Concealed means concealed!

I do the Capt Picard shirt tug now when I get up from a sitting position, just give the bottom of my cover garment a little tug to make sure everything is where its supposed to be.

I've never been busted CC. If it's warmer out, I carry a S&W 340PD in front pocket carry with pocket holster.. At church, I see a lot of the off-duty officers imprint a lot, but never have called them out on it. But if they've seen mine....no one's ever said. I had a buddy once who went to the head to take the kids to the pool and when he unbuckled, his pants, belt, IWB holster and Beretta hit the floor. Fortunately I was the only one in the room...and I started LMAO.
