I live in MD and work in VA.
Since now I have my MD W&C, do I need to get VA permit too, or does VA recognize my MD permit?
Also, should I get the PA or DC next? I go to DC a few times a year to go around sight seeing around national mall and go to PA a few times a year to visit in laws.
    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

You don’t need VA - they honor your MD permit.

PA is easy to do. DC is more complex. Look into UT and FL to buy you more flexibility elsewhere.

Since you work in VA I assume you’re there often, if so if I were you I would get a VA permit just to cover yourself. While MD w&c is recognize in VA I do believe you’re restricted in certain areas where only a VA permit is recognized.
MD W&C can’t carry within a distance of a 1,000 feet from the grounds of a public, parochial, or private school while a VA permit you can.

It would make sense to get VA as that’s where you work. With that being said I’ve told police I’m CCW and they simply reply thanks for telling us.

Utah is easy to get, cheap, and covers a lot of states including VA.

I’m not sure about the restrictions on state issued VS out of state for VA.
If that’s the case it’s a no brainer to get VA next. However read the fine print. It may only apply to resident VA licenses and not a non resident license.

pay attention to where you are carrying while around the national mall. Many of the places you would be sight seeing are prohibited areas

Thx, yeah I was thinking to myself actually DC has more restricted areas to let's say compared to it's size ... It's like a trap... You can go from one unrestricted area to a restricted area real quick...

Wow, what county did you apply through and was it online?
What exactly do you have to submit? Photo, finger print?
No Photos or fingerprints needed to apply. For an online application, you attached pictures of the front and back of your driver's license and the same for your MD permit (assuming you're a MD resident). They take a photo for your PA permit at the pick-up appointment.

York and Adams Counties seem to have relatively quick turnaround times. It was a few business days when I applied in Adams County back in late August/early September.

I did mine through Adams. (Gettysburg)

Applied on line, paid $25 uploaded DL and MD W&C.

Wait less than a week, they emailed approval and link to schedule pick up.

Sounds almost unreal compared to MD, lol.

I'll research either counties and pick one.

Also, I should thank our supreme court and all the people involved in this to give our rights back.
