Keeps stuff from going to in the barrel.
What, in your experience, has this been an operational experience for you?
    This info could be crucial.
I’m not keen on anything that could possible score or damage the interior of the barrel being shoved in the barrel, this includes those pistol racks etc that consist of coated rods for example. Seen some M9s get damaged in the service from objects in the barrel jostling around (on a coated wire rack bouncing around a truck) may have been incidental, but enough to not want to do it myself.

This plastic may not damage it, but just something I’m leery of

I have one for my P365 XL. Use a narrow T1C Wedge behind it and its a comfortable all day fit for me. Low profile enough that I've been able to conceal with just a polo or tshirt. Was definitely pleasantly surprised by fit, functionality and comfort. Now if MSI can do something about this MoCo law so I can get back to using it outside my house......

I take my carry guns apart every couple of days to put a new trigger in anyway....
hahahah sounds like that dude a few years ago who fully stripped his rifle after every round. Thought he was doing drag racing with complete rebuild after every run. hahaha

Looks to me that it might be necessary to keep the muzzle end of the pistol within the confines of the skeletonised frame of the holster.

I can't imagine pplastic damaging a steel barrel. (I would hope that the plastic would not be subject to melting from the heat of a hot barrel).
