So I have an as new benelli M4 I purchased from a friend a while back. Added an extended tube, and oversized bolt handle and release installed At gun connection. Got a good deal and it’s black anodized and I love it. Haven’t been able to shoot it yet, sadly, bc of a wrist injury, but I digress. Lol.

My brother out in Ohio managed to find me an as new H2O model I’ve desperately wanted for years, and I want to get an extended tube for it but it’s hard to tell which manufacturer’s tube would match best. Nordic and Tera look close, just curious if anyone has done this mod on a H2O that may have some input. I know it’s function over looks, but I want it to look as close as possible money aside. Anyone have any input by chance? My as new black anodized M4 may show up in the FS section if I can get this new one set up just right. Lol

    Thanks for reading.

I have the h20 and ordered from carrier comp. Match is great. Lead time is fairly long, or at least it was when I ordered about 2 years ago. They are extremely helpful.

Same here. My carrier comp tube is close-enough-for-me match on my H20, visually. Well made. But I believe they have to fly a rocket mission out to a special asteroid to mine the metal they use, because turn around time on the order was months.

    It's a really swell shotgun.

The Freedom Fighter Tactical titanium tube is almost an exact match to the h2o finish.

I ordered my stock and black mag tube from these guys and didn’t have any issues. They were also legit Benelli parts. They are showing a pre order for an H2O tube but when it comes to that finish, I’m not familiar with its application. So I don’t know if this H2O tube is legit or just a black tube that’s coated through aftermarket channels. I looked at Carrier Comp but as stated, they have long lead times. And again, my M4 is black so I can’t speak to matching finishes on the H2O model.

this is the FFT titanium tube. added a wolf magazine spring and parts for 922r compliance. What a joke.

I’ve heard their name from a few folks now. Looking them up

Excellent product offering and they do a great job of clearly explaining 922r.

What I like best is their return policy. I emphasize the part I bolded. It’s my favorite.

Todd is the owner and only employee I am aware of at FFT. He answers the phone, fills orders and ships. I’m guessing he doesn’t have time for returns. Give him a call with any questions. Very knowledgeable and will help you with any issues.

I noticed they have black, titanium, and a specific H2O color stating that’s the best match for the specific model. Was that your experience? I think the titanium looks great too and always assumed no aftermarket tube would truly be an exact match.

The Titanium is not an exact match. It’s close enough in my opinion. Todd recommended the titanium when I spoke with him because of the weight. He did say it could be cerakoted at any point if you want an exact match.

Man, I like the FFT H2O tube and I'll be ordering it for sure, but finding the GG&G large bolt handle and oversized release is a PITA.
OOS everywhere, or other brands way over-priced. UGH.

Does a surefire light count towards satisfying 922R?

No unfortunately. The really economical options are Hand guard, Magazine Follower, butt stock. That will get you to 3 components and you can add a magazine extension.

I replaced the buttstock on my M4 with the collapsible version and swapped out trigger, sear, mag follower, mag spring, and I believe the mag cap to meet 922(r) requirements. Would have to look at the invoice from Freedom Fighter Tactical to make sure of the mag cap, and that is too much work for today. lol

922(r) - another law of epic stupidity

I did the full length magazine tube, follower with new wolf spring and for-end. Covered on the necessary 3. Need a Gunsmith unfortunately, can’t get the stock mag tube out. Unless someone here has a super idea for me :)

Did you try a heat gun? That worked for me.

Mine was a real fight. Took sustained use of a heat gun to make the adhesive give up. It cools very quickly, so you have to go from heating the tube AND the receiver at length ito muscling that factory tube counterclockwise without delay.
