Here's one where I'm sure (nearly) everyone will have a different opinion. Been carrying for a few months with a kydex IWB holster. I'm looking for something more comfortable. So far I've narrowed it down to two hybrid holsters.
Alien Gear Shape Shifter 4.0 $64.88 with a free mag pouch. Uses nylon / neoprene backing not leather.
    and
Vedders Comfort Tuck $69.99 plus 20% discount ($56 with the discount.) Add $15 for horse hide over leather.
Here's my questions. Does anyone else like these holsters. Are there better options out there.
Are two clip holsters difficult to put on. Been using single clip holsters so far.
I asked a friend what he thought and he said "don't ask me" I'm up to 5 holsters already.

I tried and don't like the hybrids.

I also don't care for the two clip IWB holsters. They limit you as far as positioning and are unnecessary for IWB.

I have a collection I have tried and set aside like most people, and I settled on what you had already as the most versatile and most comfortable option for me... IWB single clip kydex.

I'd go with Vedder horsehide over the alien gear if they were my only choices. Alien gear is big and bulky and neoprene backing falls apart quick. I'm partial to single point attachments. Allows for more versatility. I like kydex, I either go with gcode fuzzy kydex, or add moleskin to the others for comfort.

Maybe add Crossbreed. I don't like hybrids and I hate alien gear. Both of these take up too much real estate. Less is more and wase of use for me. Kydex single clip minimal is best for me.

2X. For IWB, I've tried several single clip hybrids and found the extra bulk to be too awkward. I've gone back to kydex with monoblock clips each time. I also found my minimal discomfort with kydex (really more the grip texture on my side) was alleviated by adding a wicking sleeveless undershirt shirt even in warmer weather under a t-shirt.

I thought I would like hybrids, I grabbed a vedder but did not get the horse hide so I cannot comment on their horse hide, their normal "leather" exfoliated the hell out of my flank through an under shirt. Their mag crriers are nice but are indexed so the mag can only go in one way so depending on your mag draw it may cause a slight issue. The Alien-gear was much more comfortable but it feels like a diaper on your side. There mag carriers are much nicer with all the angles you can carry OWB. I actually tried WTP and Priority 1 kydex (typical Kydex Taco design) It was close WTP has slightly different retention points and caused issue with my gun due to an aftermarket part, WTP mag carriers suck at least for me your mag has to sit low in the carrier with the feed lips exposed. Also WTP uses a plastic clip. I like the Priority 1 almost identical to WTP except retention points are slightly different and does not cause binding on my after market take down lever. Did not get mag carriers since I like the Alien Gear adn have the Vedder as back ups.

The Alien Gear Shape Shifter was the last of two IWB holsters I tried. I went to OWB leather from DeSantis, after a less than perfect try of Urban Carry OWB.

That doesn't mean Shape Shifter won't work for your *werid* body shape. I kid, I kid...maybe I'm the one with weird body shape. I've seen enough posts about, "what works for me, might not work for you", to say you just have to "collect" a bunch of holster to see what you can dial in to your physique. I'm up to 5, so that tells you something.

The only IWB I can say I use on a quick run to the store, is a trigger guard holster. Lots of companies make them...here is just an example: Amazon product ASIN B07FPRZ6D8

I love the alien gear 3.5. I worn it everyday for the past 7 years. No issues. It is the 3.5. Personally the shape shift has to many parts. I lolike one thing to do one job. Never had a tv/vcr combination, you usually get 2 inferior products. If you want an iwb get an iwb, if you want an owb get an owb. If you are looking at both...get both. Buy once cry once.

The leather on 3.5 is what I thought I would be getting with the vedder, boy was I wrong.

    Now in Tennessee ,
I've been a fan of Kramer IWB for years, I received a Galoc Royal Guard today, both are horse hide and the Galco is a copy of the Kramer and I had a Kramer on order but it was still weeks out. I got a 20% off code and it it was in stock at Galco so I went with it.
It's as well made as the Kramer and I got it in 3 days not 14 weeks.

I have the alien 2 clip holster and I love it. It is the first holster I bought so don't have lots of experience with holsters. I find I like to wear an undershirt so the holster isn't against my skin. That has more to do with the ripples on the grip than the holster though.

I have a box of holsters just like most ppl including Alien gear and vedder. But Iam sold on bravo concealment. The only other one I would spend money on is black point tactical. Two top knot holsters company’s IMO that out rank the two you listed. You won’t find the one you like until you have at least purchased 10-15 of them

I have a version of this Foxx IWB hybrid. I strongly prefer the two clip setup but I'm carrying a full sized Glock. I don't use this much (preferring OWB) but it's a nice holster and conceals well.

Wow. Thought this would get a lot of replies. I appreciate all the feed back. I may take a step back, have a good laugh and just accept the fact that I'll be buying a number of holsters until I find the one I like. LMAO

If you carry a weapon for any length of time, you will eventually have a box of holsters. Even though I am retired, I still find that what holster I choose to wear has to do with the clothes I will be wearing. One sized does not do it for all occasions.

Regardless of distance between clips, I always go with a 2-clip holster. I find them to be more stable.

For a hybrid, I have used the Crossbreed Supertuck for about 10 years with a P229. Very comfortable. The horsehide is worth the extra because it is hydrophobic. The two distally placed clips distribute the gun weight and allow for adjusting cant of gun. It also reduces the bulk of having the clips right at the holster.

I have recently ordered a Tier 1 T1-Echo, but have not worn one of these yet. It is same type/style as the Supertuck and Comfort Tuck, but is full Kydex with a “hinge” threaded with shock cord.

I have heard good things about the Tenicor Certrum3, but have no personal knowledge.

I have the Tenicor Velo4 w/ DCC clips for AIWB and it is EXTREMELY comfortable. It is also tuckable (w/DCC clips) and, even with a light colored normal size T-shirt, doesn’t print.
