    So. Central Balto Co
I went into the York PA Satellite office and had the legendary good, fast, experience with eye candy.

My Garmin GPS steered me wrong, but google maps was great.

Picked up my PA permit this morning. The satellite office is the place to go if you have a choice. In and out in 6-7 minutes. Free parking within 75 feet of the front door. I have been to the downtown York courthouse and it is a pain to find parking (meters). JMHO and by the way the scenery behind the desk ain't bad either!

Ok, I’m late to the game on applying for my PA permit. Adams Co, is the closest for me coming from Frederick.
There is a lot of information on this thread, so I want to make sure I have this correct
Is this the correct link to the application?

This is the final link, but your will get you there after a few clicks

I just got my approval and they have no available appointments this week. So I am going to main office Friday Afternoon.

What do you mean by Main Office? Just go to the new satellite office in York. NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED. I did it this morning.

When I was standing in line, there was a Man/Woman ahead of me said they had no appointment/were Marylanders.

Going to the satellite office and starting from Harford there is no faster way there. If you start on 24 anywhere in Harford county you can basically stay on 24 the entire way there except at 136/23 back to 24 or 24 to 851 to Stewartstown.... it's almost the same amount of time as if you drove old York road to 83 to get there, or 74 up to Red Lion/24.

I'm guessing that if you show up without an appointment they will still accommodate you but they want you to have an appointment so they can keep things orderly.

Line? When I picked up in Adams, I was the only one there and I was 10 minutes early. Even the previous appt person was gone. :)

    Yeah on a Friday/2ish.

I got there like 30 minutes early since York traffic sucks and really wasn't that bad that particular moment. As soon as I got there I watched a guy in a MD tag vehicle park, walk in and come out 5 minutes later. Watched like 4 other people walk in and not come out. So I decided to roll in and all 4 people were waiting at the LTCF desk. I left like 2 minutes after my scheduled appointment time.

2 other people came behind me but both of them were there for renewals I guess because they didn't answer they were out of state.

So can I put my CC Pistol in a lock box with the magazine out and not have to worry about carrying a loaded firearm on my way to pick up my PA NR CCW

    A couple of things,

How backed up is PA going to get with thousands of people getting wear and carry permits and maryland and taking the drive up to get the Pa one.

Two they are completely online now in Adams county ( gettysburg ), you even pay online now.

Two I just tempted fate and did my PA app online and uploaded the approval from MDSP. I dont have my card yet, but I figured ( hopefully ) they see the approval letter as proof I have the wear and carry. Worse case when you go online to track the app there is a place to upload more info. I figure with how MD is going I should have my card in a few days, probably saturday or monday. Being friday later in the day, they probably wont even look at the app for a day or 2. This gives the post office a chance to get it here.

If they kick it out for not attaching a pic of the W&C I will just upload it as soon as I get it and play dumb ( I might be). It does say on the app if your out of state to attached a photo copy per the email reply. So I can play dumb, and if it comes tomorrow I will just upload it tomorrow.

    Lets see what happens
You must have your MD HGP first. i sent photo copies of my HGP and DL through snail mail and they sent an approval letter back within 1.5 weeks. I drove up with approval letter and they manufactured it while i waited.
    2 weeks and done.

I started this thread months, and have had my PA permit for months.

I did wind up getting my Md permit that monday and uploaded it. No issues, basically go a half day head start.
