Application Numbers don't have a hyphen in them. Issued permits numbers do.

That must be your application number so it should not have a dash. When you are approved you will get a new number your Permit number that does have a dash, it will be shown on the last page of your approved application.

Yes noticed that too, thinking it might have had to do with Labor Day holiday and maybe there weren't that many classes scheduled or folks taking the time to submit over the weekend, hoping to see my 9/5 by the middle of next week. With your 9/7 I'd say cross your fingers for end of next week or over the weekend.......
