Talk me out of a P365....

The customer service at Sig is pretty good. Neginning of September I had to send my P365 upper in for sight replacement as the left-rear had stopped glowing and the right-rear was on it's way out. Took maybe week and a half from shipping to Sig to it being returned to me. Looks like front and rear sights were replaced and they cleaned up the rust (been my edc for over a year).

I have contacted Sig via email. Got a reply and they said the best way to contact with an issue is via phone so I will be calling them today. I hope I can get the issue resolved because other than that issue, I love everything else about the P938. Thanx!

Me too, but since the HQL came so easily after the HGP, I finally got the damn thing.

I just bought a P365X a couple weeks ago and it didn't seem finicky at all. I ran two 12 round mags each of the following through it in one range session:

Federal 124 HST
Speer 124 Gold Dot
PMC Bronze 115 FMJ
Remington 147 Golden Saber
Starfire 124 JHP

No problems.

I don't know anything about SIG's customer service.

Was the Gold Dot +p or +p+ ammo? I bought ++ for carrying my P365, but wonder if it's too hot for the gun.

Documentation on Sig site says rated for +P, doesn’t say +P+.

I, personally, wouldn’t go hotter than manufacturer stated rating.

I, personally, wouldn’t go hotter than manufacturer stated rating.

+P+ in a self defense shooting of only a few rounds won't hurt anything. But range time and practice can. That being said, you won't find much difference between +P or ++.

Perfectly Ok not to like them. Everybody's hands are different and acquisition is also a huge factor. Great carry gun though. 12 rounds factory mags and if you buy the maggutz spring kit you get 14 with only increasing the mag length by 1/8" That's one hell of a package. I also love my Cz 75 p01 omega, my Glock 19,26 and I love to carry my Ruger sp101. Different seasons choices. Bottom line is the gun has to fit you. Very personal decision.

Is the gun fully seated in the holster in that picture? I'm surprised that much of the trigger guard is exposed. My father uses an Urban Carry OWB and likes it.

Picked up my 365x TacPac today. Got it in time to get the free mag and ammo. I am thinking about a green dot for it but I will shoot it first to see what I think. Now to find a holster. Probably will be a PHLster. The tac pac came with 3 mags and a holster.

I have a PHLster Pro for the 365. It is a nice quality piece. I don't have my permit yet but wearing it around the house it is comfortable.

I just have the holster and not the Enigma contraption.

It comes with pull the dot loops but I added their plastic clips and the DC clips to the order. Will likely switch to one of those options. They ship very fast. I've sent in a few questions and they were all answered quickly.

I just received a Tenicor as well. Will compare them at some point. They have some similarities.

Nice thing about both of those companies is they are in stock and ready to ship. Or should be in stock.

Good tips. I have been on their FB group for about a month. There is so much info and so many tricks and tips on there, I can't keep up with it.

If you have any questions or want pics I’ll see what I can do. The pull the dots are fine but they are fiddly for me to align everything including the wing/claw and then snap them. Another holster I have with just a clip is much easier to slip on and off and still be secure which is why I added the other clips to have options before I settle.

Also, not sure if they will flatten out but pull the dots kind of stick out some and cause some extra printing. But maybe I’m the only one that would notice… also know that pull the dots snap and unsnap in a certain way. Once you understand that they are easier to manipulate.

I just got a Tenicor CERTUM3 based on recommendations here but haven’t messed with it yet.

I do like the PHLster Pro better than the Vedder Lighttuck for what it’s worth.

I’m on my way to a box of holsters lol.

Oh and yeah, PHLster makes a lot of videos and such with a lot of info on their philosophy.

Yes all the way seated. Retention is great. Trigger itself is fully covered.

Excellent, yes I do remember your recommendation. Mine will not be a safe queen. I have a Shadow Systems CR920 Elite on order also, so I will see what I can find for that. It uses the same holster as a G43.

I'm seriously considering a p365. I currently don't have a small very carry friendly 9mm. The P365 keeps coming to the top of the list when I'm digging around. I've held it numerous times at my LGS and with the extended pinky mag I can get a decent grip on the tiny frame. In anyone's experience is the P365 an easy "good buy" for those that can fit this tiny gun in their hands?

My current size 9mm is a G48, not a large frame by any means, but it is larger than the P365.

Thoughts?

I would try to talk you out of it, if it was not a good purchase. I too needed a smaller CCW. I went with the P365 XL with the Streamlight

I went with the P365 XL , Streamlight TLR-7 Sub , and Holosun Sight. I too needed a smaller CCW for EDC. Phenomenal gun, slightly larger due to my slightly larger hands. The pld lady is petite and she loves it too. I highly recommend it. I almost went with a Hellcat, good gun too but the P365 XL was better for me.

Met a friend at Free state today to test drive his p365x and rented a few others. Glock 43x wasn’t my cup of tee, loved the h&k vp9 but too wide for my taste, and just loved the Sig as I figured I would. very nice firearm for the price imho.
