Look at the hellcat or hellcat pro and you will talk yourself out of the 365

The Hellcat Pro coming in at 17+ flush fit and at the same size factor as a G43X and the P365Macro, it drives alot of value. It's also a good bit cheaper.

I have no first hand experience with it, but it's been reported to have been very reliable.

That said, I'm just set in my ways when it comes to Glock. For me it's a G43x with the Shield Arms 15 rounders (with upgraded steel mag catch for reliability).

The P365 is more modular to swap configuration , but if one of the Hellcats suits you as is . it is also an excellent pistol .

I have a 365XL, Hellcat Pro and my wife has a Shield Plus.
The 365 XL shot ok for me, I still think the grip it too small. Was disappointed with the HC trigger, it really sucked.
I replaced it with and MCARBO trigger and spring kit now it shoots amazing, I love the sights. No problem busting clay birds a 20 yards all day long. The Shield Plus with the 13 rd mag shot the best for me right out of the box. Had I not already bought the HC I probably would have went with the Shield. I did pick up a 365 MACRO and it felt great in my had. Probably going to sell the 365XL it is my least favorite.

I like the beavertail design as well, but the back/bottom edge of the grip is about 3/8" shorter on the P365 vs the X/XL models and that's the part that, if it shows, shows there.

I got the kit from Osage County Guns. Easy to install, didn't like it (too far to the rear for me), but easy to uninstall too. I think I'd save the money and just cut the grip module for the safety vs buying an extra one already cut. If you change your mind, the unused cutout doesn't compromise anything.

I've been out of the new handgun game for sometime, as I'm one of the bitter HQL holdouts. I hear wonderful things about this pistol, but I have some old bias against Sigs for presumably being finicky about ammo. Additionally, I have read recently that their customer support is basically non-existent, whereas a company like Ruger is very willing to make something right after your purchase.

Any knowledgeable insight on the matters?

I have a Sig P938. Jams EVERY time I take it to the range. I have run several brands of ammo and tried different grains. Some have been better than others but still having problems. I just sent an email to Sig customer service. We’ll see how it goes.

The customer service at Sig is pretty good. Neginning of September I had to send my P365 upper in for sight replacement as the left-rear had stopped glowing and the right-rear was on it's way out. Took maybe week and a half from shipping to Sig to it being returned to me. Looks like front and rear sights were replaced and they cleaned up the rust (been my edc for over a year).

Strange. I have one that I used to carry regularly, until I got my RAMI and PCR. I carried it loaded with Hornady Critical Defense, which I tested in it thoroughly, and also used various FMJ ammo at the range. I never had a single malfunction of any kind with it.

ETA: the Hornady was 115 gr, product #90250.


I assume you cleaned and relubed it thoroughly after purchase? My CZs have all been coated with a thin layer of very thick grease, which seemed to be a better preservative than lubricant. I don't recall what was on the P938 when I got it, but whatever it was I would have cleaned it before its first range trip.

I did some comparing of the various 365 models before I went with the 365X and would offer you the following:

1) All models were comfortable, however, the basic 365 was only comfortable with the extended mag.

2) The 365X, with the slightly longer grip, puts the bottom of the mag lower in hand so you can maintain your full firm grip when dropping the mag. With the basic 365, I had to consciously remember to open/relax my pinky to let the mag drop, especially with the 12 round mag where your pinky and heal of hand are gripping the bottom/extended portion of the mag. This made the operation of the X more consistent with my other pistols.

3) The XL Macro is only 1/2” shorter in length than a 229 .40 so it was losing the “sub-compact” alternative I was looking for.

4) I had never used a flat trigger before the 365X, but I like it.

Tenicor Certum 3. At Blaster229’s recommendation. Very well made, and comfortable. That’s for IWB. Galco Combat Master for OWB. I really like both.

The dimensions are better for concealment than Glock. Not everyone likes them. Outrider58 shot mine this weekend, and didn’t care for it.

Perfectly Ok not to like them. Everybody's hands are different and acquisition is also a huge factor. Great carry gun though. 12 rounds factory mags and if you buy the maggutz spring kit you get 14 with only increasing the mag length by 1/8" That's one hell of a package. I also love my Cz 75 p01 omega, my Glock 19,26 and I love to carry my Ruger sp101. Different seasons choices. Bottom line is the gun has to fit you. Very personal decision.

Thanx. I have not tried the Hornady ammo, but I will.
I clean it after every trip to the range. After checking a few review sources, I see this is a random issue among other P938 owners.
