Talk me out of a P365....

I liked that beavertail on the x and that is why I went that route, or are you referring to the bottom of the grip? I will get a second grip for it just need to see what is out there that I like.

I like the beavertail design as well, but the back/bottom edge of the grip is about 3/8" shorter on the P365 vs the X/XL models and that's the part that, if it shows, shows there.

I see that Grayguns offers that kit to convert it.

I got the kit from Osage County Guns. Easy to install, didn't like it (too far to the rear for me), but easy to uninstall too. I think I'd save the money and just cut the grip module for the safety vs buying an extra one already cut. If you change your mind, the unused cutout doesn't compromise anything.

Tenicor Certum 3. At Blaster229’s recommendation. Very well made, and comfortable. That’s for IWB. Galco Combat Master for OWB. I really like both.

That looks like an interesting holster. I like the twin clips. Most single clip holsters tend to twist on the belt for me and don't stay where I like them. Very frustrating. I think there is too much slop in the clips to work singly. Two might fix that problem.

Yes, Ruger BETTER be good at customer service after the sale, we are basically Ruger's beta testers! They put out a fair amount of duds and get a lot of practice at putting it right. Case in point, and no, it's not a camera trick, that LCRx front sight lug really IS mis-machined that much! (but, they made it "right"...)

I tried that one and the 43X. I went with the 43X because it is a better firearm.

I had a very early 43X, a two tone, actually mis-fed a couple of times, shot right enough that I had to actually adjust the rear sight and it would NOT use the Shield magazine system at all. If it ran well on the Shield mags, I might still have it, but I was able to reform a kydex OWB holster for it to be an excellent fit for my Kahr CM45, so no big loss in accessories, Shield took the 3 mags and mag release back with no problems, good company!

These issues were so unusual for a Glock, I don't recall any of my Glocks actually mis-feeding or needing a gross sight adjustment.
When I brought my first P365 home from the little store where I worked, I owned it for about 15 minutes after I crossed the threshold, I went in the next day and told my boss to order me another one. It's good to have a serious shooter for a wife USUALLY! I also snagged a P365 XL for a nightstand gun, with a Holosun and a Nightstick green laser/light combo. Nice enough, but the trigger sucks, I'll need to remember that one day and see about fixing that.

I AM glad you like your 43X, though!

If you get the model with the thumb safety, it takes about a minute to remove.

Too late for that. I need to learn to ask questions before I buy. All good though.

For what it’s worth, three of us were shooting each other’s carry guns over the weekend. My P365, a Hellcat, and a Max-9.

Each owner decided they’re most happy with what they brought. The fourth person shot all three and said that arguing about which one to choose was a seriously first world problem kinda thing as they all handled and functioned just fine. It was hard to argue with. I’d happily carry any of them. They all conceal, point, shot, and hit like they oughta. We’re in the golden age here, with an embarrassment of riches to choose from.

I would agree. I have a friend that has a Hellcat. He and I went to the range a few weeks ago. He shot my P365XL and his Hellcat and I did the same. Each of us agreed that both of them shot very well and we'd be happy carrying either one.

I got a chance to hold (but not shoot) a S&W Shield and I like the feel of it. Have not tried the P365. There was a member (don't recall the screen name) that basically stated no one should pay any attention to what other shooters choose for a handgun, and should select based solely on what is a good fit for them. Ok some truth to that but I think certain brands/models are popular for a reason. I would like to try a Sig P365 at some point.

I almost picked up a second P365 recently. I didn't because it ended up being the longer slide and barrel.
There are a couple of neat things about the safeties on the P365. One, it is very easy to install or remove. Second, it is very easy to make a one sided safety. I cut the right side off mine so now the safety lever is only on the left side. Being only on the one side and covered by the holster, nothing can accidentally flip the safety.

I have probably watched to many Massad Ayoob videos but I went without a safety knowing I could add it later if desired. I didn’t want to “remove a factory installed safety device” on a carry gun.

Another and more important factor for me is none of my handguns have a manual safety except a 1911 that is only an occasional fun range gun.
