I've been following Hoffman Tactical for a while on YouTube and he just came out with this design for a 3d printed AR-15. By this, I mean more than just the lower. He is calling it "fully printed" and he seems to be printing everything except for the barrel, BGC, charging handle, and lower parts. If you build this in MD, I'm not sure how it can be serialized per current MD Law

Its cool but with the upper being 100% printed I don't see how it can't be more than a novelty piece that you can shoot a mag through. Longterm the plastic will start to cause problems especially up near the gas tube and gas key.

Your 3D printer will have to have a steel hi-temp nozzle and likely an enclosure to deal with the nylon and carbon filaments. No problem with the PLA Plus. Interesting project but I would not attempt it until the MD ghost gun laws are overturned by SCOTUS.
