Will the MSP now be stopping cars registered to holders of Wear and Carry looking for handguns that are not in their registry thereby giving The State opportunity to fine, arrest, or confiscate. I don't think I'd chance being "caught" with a unregistered handgun in thie state.

there is no handgun registry. i mean, you can voluntarily do that, but you shouldn't. I also don't think MD is bright enough to have linked W&C to Drivers' Licenses - after all, "nobody was interested" in having one and there were like, what?, 25000 in the whole darn state before Bruen so there was never a need to have those two things linked.

    enough banter, I suppose ;)

It’s not voluntary . What do you think a 77r is?

I haven't filled out one of those since before 2013 (to be more accurate, I've not bought a firearm since before 2013, when the laws changed). back then, there was a check box for "do you want to register this firearm with the MSP" or something to that effect. I assumed, perhaps wrongly, that it was still there.

That said, yes, I realize those forms are "off the record" registries at the least. do share more current info, if you have it. mine is obviously nearly a decade old.

Any purchase of a regulated firearm the MSP has a record of it. If that isn’t a registry I don’t know what is

i mean, you have that correct, but there is not, to my knowledge, an actual hand gun registration in MD that isn't, or perhaps wasn't, voluntary at one time.
