Looks like your local gun store and that place online where you order ammo are going to have you leaving even more of a trail, now, if you use a credit card. The industry has been "asked" by people like the NY AG to create new merchant tracking codes that will distinguish gun and ammo purchases from other retail transactions. You know, for the children.

Prepaid credit cards are an option
Sigh no you can't if it's issued by the credit companies it does not matter how you load money on it, it's going to be tracked period!!!! Don't you think they thought it through to make it impossible to get around. IDK what scares me worse these days the creeping privitization of tyranny by multi-national corporations or the naivety of people who somehow are a bit willfully ignorant and don't believe we live in a period of un-paralled danger of losing our freedoms forever because it's more comfortable to not have to think about that as a reality.

I don't know about swiping the card at the location, but any on-line sales requires the card holder to create an account with the CC company and register the card so that it passes the name and address check done with the item purchase.

I have used them in the past and never created an account. Is this something new?

I tried it at a web site (don't remember which one...maybe Amazon) and it was denied until I wend to a Visa site to register it in my name, then it worked. Maybe it was something with that site.
