The one you shoot the best that fits in your budget. For me, I wanted to like 1911s, but just couldnt shake the fact that they're old technology and will be expensive to make one reliable and accurate. I then wanted to like the fn line because of capacity... but they feel like holding a brick. Hk's are nice, but expensive. The hk45 feels VERY comfortable... but i like striker fired guns.

I ultimately arrived at my m&p45. After tossing some apex trigger doodads in, the trigger feels doable. Reset still isn't great, but the break, weight, and travel are nice. Any malfunctions have been due to ammo. It carries easy for the size and I just bought a bunch of mags for $10 each on aimsurplus. Plus it was like $500 with this and a threaded barrel on budsguns.

Out of the guns I've shot, I shoot it the best... so it wins nightstand position. You'll have to figure out what gun fits you the best for the monet you're willing to spend. That will be the best 45 for you.

According to the FBI, no difference between modern defensive 9mm and 45 ACP ammo in terms of incapacitation. 9mm give advantages including weight, size and capacity.

    So…agree.
Yeah, and the FBI also says that they didn't try on Melania's underwear while they were at Mara Lago.

Their ballistic info is compiled for the safety/effectiveness of their agents. I believe they take this quite seriously. Otherwise they be shooting transgendered ammo.

Yeah, maybe, but their planned future adversaries are Amish farmers, people who might have seen Brandon's daughter's diary, and parents who attend school board meetings.

Yeah, it'll get that .45 recoil down to .40 levels.
It's still different than the 9 and especially 40 in feel. 45 with the comp just has a predictable push without the pop feel. For whatever reason, it's easier for me to shoot well when shooting fast.

Some great options here. I'll add another vote for the FNX.

With the FDE rmr, and the FDE surefire, it really is 50 shades of S*&^

Just need to do a .460 rowland conversion.

The 11th Commandment..."They All Fall to Hardball".

If you want to believe that...Jeff Cooper did...but that was in the days of hollow points that either didn't open reliably or didn't feed when they did.
