IMO the vast majority of the public has little to no awareness. Everyone is so focused on getting their next errand done, they do not consider their situation. No one (other than forum members) is looking for printing or even recognizing when they might see something.

I have been concealing for two years (since I was blessed by the state to be a business owner) and my wife doesn't even know I'm carrying. :)

As long as she didn’t say “is it in yet?” You are good

It's been said that you can walk in almost anyplace if you just act like you belong there. I suspect that if you stand up straight, don't dress like a gang banger or biker, and generally look like you belong, most people even if they notice a piece are just going to assume you are supposed to be armed and return to whatever has them fascinated on their phones. If you act paranoid wondering if anybody is noticing, keep checking the gun, and generally look uncomfortable, folks might get the wrong idea.

Unfortunately, it takes a little time to be comfortable carrying. It's hard not to feel like everyone is staring at a big zit on your face, or a hunk of steel on your waist.

It's been a long time since I could legally carry. I'm curious if I'll fall back into the old comfortable place right away or if I'll have to work through the stages.

Agreed. Once you get past that adjusting/touching phase you should be good to go. I'm hopeful that all the new carriers will continue to demonstrate that it ain't the law-abiding citizens that are causing the problems.

It's me being consciously paranoid of others noticing!I'm starting to be nonchalant about it at this point, being an avid walker/cycylist,I decree appendix carry is super uncomfortable.

I'll be sub-compacting relatively soon soon soon son...

I've never tried appendix carry. The very thought of the barrel pointing towards my leg, or other more interesting bits (especially while sitting), just feels disconcerting and more than a little concerning. I don't care how good the holster is!
