There is variation. Some, especially that applied "early" I guess before the Bruen decision was made official, did seem to get the investigator email or step. Seems like more recent ones, especially sent in mid to late july and after, do not receive an email denoting assignment of an investigator. But I wouldn't be surprised if some have. Generally however, I would not be expecting the investigator notification and would expect,

    1. Notice of submission
    2. Notice of acceptance
    3. NICS number put into application (you don't receive a notice for this)
    4. Notice of approved or not.

So to put it shortly lol, most seem to be along the latter, accepted to approved, no investigator notification.
Where on toie application denotes the nics #?

Actually, sorting the spreadsheet data on Accepted date, you can clearly see the trend in Total Days Accept to Approved increasing from ~19 or 20 days to ~28-29 days currently. I would surmise with that trend it will hit 30 shortly and I will be approved somewhere between Sept 5th and 14th....sigh
We're in the same boat... I'll check the portal in a week or two again.... lol

    And as of today:

The widening trend continues. Big jumps in the last three numbers on the running seven day averages.

How in the world did you get accepted the same day. I applied the same day as you and didn't get accepted until 7/29 and no NICS 18 days and counting. Who did I piss off at the MSP?

I feel the exact same way. I would feel more patient with the process if it made more sense.

I'm not sure I applied early in the morning and then by the evening at 7:30 it was accepted

If you think about it someone will apply within a batch of apps so they may apply and then 10 minutes later they are accepted. It has to happen to somebody
