Holy Cow!!!! Just got the email. My MD concealed carry application was just approved!!! IN JUST 25 DAYS!!!!

I got my NICS letter in the mail last week, hoping that's an indication of getting close!

You got a NICS letter? I had to select to print the application and look at the upper left corner. The only notifications I got were "submitted", "accepted", and "approved". There was no communication about any other part of the process.

Good luck. Remember to pickup your PA permit once your md one comes.

Wow that seems strange, I didn’t get my letter until Tuesday the 9th. I already had permit in hand for 5 days.

Me too but I’ve never heard of a NICS letter so I was just assuming it was CJIS

I got my permit in hand on July 23. Got my CJIS letter yesterday

The date on my letter is 6/23 the date the prints were done.

I received my letter yesterday.

Mine was accepted 7/29 and been sitting with no movement.

Criminal Justice Information Service. Basically info from your background check after you were fingerprinted

We may see movement as soon as Thursday based on the excel chart data. Time will tell...

After you are printed, your prints are forwarded to the Criminal Justice Information System, The Maryland run repository for criminal records and prints. CJIS forwards your prints to the FBI for a nationwide criminal records check which then goes to MSP.

The MD part of your criminal check is reported back to you in a letter they will send you sometime after your prints are submitted

They just started approving 7/16 acceptance dates. It seems to be taking 3 days to approve each acceptance day. You're probably next week. My 7/19 may be at the end of this week.

7/17 was a Sunday with no acceptances so we have that going for us.

Agreed, late this week is the earliest I'd see movement but I'm thinking Mon - Tues next week is realistic.

The spreadsheet does show a 7/18 accepted, approved 8/12 (Friday). You may be sooner than you think.
