Looking to see what it would cost to build a Han Solo 22 pistol. Came up with this list, and even using a Primary Arms red dot and MILSPEC trigger on hand, looks like well over $700 with FFL fees plus tax and shipping.

Lol. Mine is something everyone loves to pick up. It’s completely impractical but stupid fun.

I suppose you could also make a single-shot 5.56 version of this. Would need to use a MILPSEC BCG and barrel and chop the barrel and have it threaded. 5.56 out of a 4.5" barrel would be - well - something less than optimal.

You could. It would be even dumber than the .22, IMO. You’d need a buffer tube.

    I admit it’s just a silly novelty.

I THINK (would have to research) you could do this w/o a buffer tube becuase the bolt would remain locked; no gas tube/system to push the bolt open. You would charge the weapon between shots.
[EDIT] Never mind - still need a buffer tube or some other kind of bolt like BRN 180 or something.
[EDIT 2] How the hell do you do strike through formatting? Used to be <s>something</s>

You still need a spring for the BCG.

Could probably work on some AR-180 style BCG.

Mine is stupid fun and very popular. I used CMMG .22 BCG and barrel.

    $650 all-in sounds about right.

The Canto arms 2x20 pistol scope mounted canted is canon, but people have a hard time shooting it, so i went with a reflex red dot.

Edit: and with your wear and carry you can carry it in a thigh rig.

I feel like it'd look cooler if someone made a 22lr conversion for a pistol caliber AR with smaller magwell. To my knowledge though, none exist.
