Hey MDS, I’ve lurked in the past and decided to dive in so I could participate in the ccw date survey. Thanks for the resource and community.
A little about myself.. I’m the dreaded self taught shooter and admittedly I have a lot I’d like to learn. Most of my experience is sighting in my hunting rifles and waterfowl hunting with shotguns. I’ve come to own several pistols (some which I can shoot better than others) for self protection, collecting, and for the fun of getting out to the range to go shoot.
I’ve recently lost my mind and spent way too much on a Q mini fix after going to a demo day in TX. I can’t wait to get an optic and start shooting it. I have a 300blk BDC LED ACOG on order and have my fingers crossed it’s everything I hope it is. In addition to blowing wads of money on the Q and ACOG i also have a couple cans in atf jail and for the love of god can’t figure out why it takes so long. In the mean time I’ll be stocking up on ammo and getting ready for deer archery season.
The next firearm is like to purchase is a .308 bolt action rifle…. I think… I’d also like an AR10. Or maybe an upper to finish one of the lowers I panic purchased and have since neglected.
Some things I’d like to learn more about and improve includes long range shooting, gunsmithing and maintenance, and gain more pistol handling skills. I think it would be a lot of fun to try a three gun competition or similar.
Fortunately/Unfortunately I have a full time job that soaks up a lot of my time. When I’m not there you can find me hunting, fishing, cooking or rollin smoke for a bbq.
    Let’s go Brandon!

Good luck with all your arms and interests re: arms and hunting and such.

thank you. I’ll be sure to post photos that include feet before too long.

Good luck to you as well.

I don’t watch too much Sanford and Sons so thanks for the best of’s.

Those Superbad links were spot on!

It's all in good fun, you will learn of the Mdshooters lore and memes soon enough.

As long as you have a sense of humor and thick skin around these cranky old farts, you will fit right in.
