I am taking the Wear and Carry class on the 13th and 20th. I am planning to carry a 9mm in the future, specifically a Glock 19. I do not know which model to get. Can anyone point me to a particular model to get?
I meant to say either the Gen 4, Gen 5, the Glock 19X?A Glock 19 is a model. Are you not sure on that one? Have you shot any firearms yet?
That's true. I first wanted to know which of the specific models had which features that would be best fit for me. I do not like having safety features like the grip safety on a handgun. I shot a Springfield 1911 Range Officer model that had a grip safety, and it did not feel smooth in my right hand. To my knowledge, the Glock 19X has night sights, which would help in case I would have to use it at night.Ah. Well you should go to one of the ranges that rents them and just try them out first. I might be partial to a 19x but that has a longer grip I think so you need to think of the dimensions you want. That might be tough to get specific advice for you on. Dimensional stuff you can probably just look up.
Awesome! I'll look into it. Thank you for the recommendation.Unless you’re really set on the 19 you may want to consider something smaller for concealed carry. take a look at the 43X, you can get 15 round magazines and have the same capacity as the 19 and a much smaller, easier to conceal firearm
I like my gen 3 G19. I am partial to the finger grooves. The 43x is small, definitely easier to conceal, but I would shoot one first they are more snappy than the G19. The G26 would be another option, got mine out of the 7 day jail sentence today.I am taking the Wear and Carry class on the 13th and 20th. My personal experience is that Gen 4 are hard to find for most things. I like the finger grooves personally so I'm not rushing to get a 5. My Gen 3 19 is an excellent shooter and would (in my opinion) make an excellent carry gun.I meant to say either the Gen 4, Gen 5, the Glock 19X?
I agree with you on that. Glocks are dependable and are easy to carry more than one of. How can the finger grooves help?Never had problems with a gen 3 glock 19 . But gen 5 comes with 3 mags and no finger grooves . Can’t go wrong with any glock . Just practice a lot when you get one .
The different versions of the 19- very minor differences. Your real choice will be limited to what your FFL has in stock.I am taking the Wear and Carry class on the 13th and 20th. Yep.I have a 43x and a 19. Both great but if you're looking to conceal I'd look at the 43x and 48. Their slimmer profiles make them much easier to conceal. After using the 43x the 19 feels very thick.
Thank you. I'm currently looking at comparisons between the 19 and the 43X.I have a 43x and a 19. Both great but if you're looking to conceal I'd look at the 43x and 48. Their slimmer profiles make them much easier to conceal. After using the 43x the 19 feels very thick.

Shop around, different dealers will happily show you what they have.
here. I took a pic. The 19 has a laser. The 43x holds nearly as many rounds with a shield arms mag.Thank you. I'm currently looking at comparisons between the 19 and the 43X.
