Is it just a rumor or is MSP LD actually hiring more staff or mandatory OT to sort out all the influx of applications? Bored here at work and just want a piece of mind while I’m here waiting .

I have a patient who works in the LD. She said that they were requiring mandatory 50 hr/wk overtime. First hand information.

It looks like the gap between accepted and approved may be starting to widen a bit. Last I saw from the data compiled by 308Scout, that timeline was ~3 weeks but had settled in right at 19 days for the last 6-7 approvals. This is exactly 21 days. Could just be the weekend, though.

Is it that, or are applications just being accepted faster? Not a rhetorical question - I don't know the answer.

Just got back from St.Mary's Sheriff's Office for fingerprints. 15 minutes for Both Live Scan and a set of ink for my Florida renewal. Got home and submitted MD application 22HGP0166XX. Now the wait begins......

Mine was accepted on the 19th. Still no NICS number. I’m hoping this week that will change but not holding my breath on it.

Both mine and my wife's application has changed to "Accepted". Just over 12 hours after submission.

Wow. I sent my completed form Saturday afternoon and it still says submitted.

NICS 8/1/22

Seeing a 15er with a NICS number is making me giddy, I was accepted on the 15th as well, no NICS yet though. Hopefully this week.

Application has been approved.

The review of your Handgun Permit application, ############, has been completed by Maryland State Police, Licensing Division. You will receive written notification of the disposition via the United States Postal Service within 5-7 business days.

Now I wait and see. I do not want to celebrate until I have the License in my hands.

No one seems to be getting the assigned to investigator email any more.

M Florida was receivEd by them on July 15 came in the mail today

You are correct. I did not get an assigned to investigator email.
