Excellent. Captain just looks like his whole.body goes limp
Looks like the chick in the middle broke a nail @ 1:30 into the video. The horror of it all...I watched that over and over again....I'm dying laughing . The captain looks like he just faceplants to the left...I'd love to see it in slow motion, over and over again
Jesus- that’s one hell of an aluminum hunting boat!As a former owner of a go-fast (clocked at 87 mph during a poker run on the St Lawrence River), with experience on Lake Ontario... and then a 22ft cc going in and out of Jupiter inlet when we lived in FL.... Yes, there are plenty of dipshits that have money and think they can "drive" a boat.... hell just watch the vids of them backing the trailer at the ramp.....
But one of the most memorable times on a boat, we rented a houseboat and toured the St Johns River in FL for two weeks.... towed the 81ft aluminum hunting boat behind, and had the time of our lives.....
On Deep Creek, my bass boat was back at the dock no later than 0930-1000. That's when all the "pleasure boaters" cut loose. This thread title had me worried someone was about to rail on some immigrants. Been in boats most my life and now mostly just at Deepcreek. Believe me the ignorance comes in all boat types and speeds. We use the ski boat very early or late and use the pontoon as a floating beach anchored off to the side.
Hell yeah. I didn’t know people hunted giraffes from boats.Jesus- that’s one hell of an aluminum hunting boat!

I boated on Deep Creek Lake for close to 20 years (1996-2015). I miss that place badly. I miss my Cobalt as well. Enjoy. On Deep Creek, my bass boat was back at the dock no later than 0930-1000. That's when all the "pleasure boaters" cut loose.
You can learn a lot from other people's mistakes, especially dumb ar$es.
Often at lunch I watch a couple boat channels that show boats going through inlets and the stupid stuff people do.
Here is one.
I own or have owned a variety of watercraft in the past 20 years but NEVER wanted a muscle boat.
Its like how BMW owners go to a special seminar to be an A-hole driver, Muscle boaters often go to a seminar on how to be a dumb Arse
Watch the guy at 4:45 and how he handles the little boat and the following seas perfectly.
Even the guy right after him in the Intrepid, is not thinking about impressing someone with speed and handles his throttle correctly
Fastest I've been on water is probably about 35mph.I know a couple go-fast boaters that are great folks. Would fit right in over here on MDS. But yes, plenty of rich D bags that get these fast boats just to be reckless.
Ever been 100mph on the bay? Bring a change of pants.
IMHO, I prefer going fast on sailboats and hobies in some strong winds on a trapeeze are for sure a TON of fun (my FIL has one).I prefer a broad reach on West River in front of a cold front and line of T-storms, flat water, Hobie 16 double trapeeze, going 26+kts, 9 ft rooster tails of the rudders that are humming and on the very edge of disaster, (ie pitchpolling at 26 kts on a trapeeze is like going 26 to 0 in 1 second.). Going almost twice as fast in my Sea Hawk on flat water is fun but does not have quite the same thrill factor. Going only 10kts in a 3-4' Bay chop in the Hawk will beat the crap out of your back but is very comfortable at trolling speeds. Whatever makes your boat float. :-)
My wife and I did a back-country snowmobile trip when we were skiing in Colorado one year. It was absolutely stunning landscapes, but the noise ruined it for me. I'd much rather ski, and just hear the sound of my skis on the snow.I've always loved sailing and powerboating, just depends on what mood im in. Ive been 100 on the bay, its quite exhilarating but having to hold on for dear life and wear earplugs the whole time gets old after a bit. Its like jet skis, fun in small doses.

There is a new vid with two people getting ejected from an airborne inverted speed boat, but I can't get that to post.
I did find this oldie...
FF to about 2 mins for the money shot.
I'm not seeing much fun with this...
