No evidence of that in Maryland. SMH
But you aren’t taking into account what has changed.

We have always known and it’s been said out loud many time that when the courts recognize carry as a right, the real work would begin. It’s been said for the decade +3 years I’ve been here, and the decade since I got involved (had to bow out during COVID) that the TPM fights would go on for a while.

I did not think we would be able to enjoy Bruen’s one step test, and am excited by that. Yes, Maryland will try. They will also lose. Saying otherwise is BGOS. It’s what you are doing.

The guy that is scared to purchase an AR with a bull barrell from a MD dealer because HBAR isn't stamped on it, the guy who won't let his wife fire his handfun at the range for fear of "transferring" a standard capacity magazine, and all the other stuff is BGOS.

In regards to patience, those Of us firearms enthusiast MD holdout residents have earned 2nd (arguably 1st) place on a national list of being the most patient, also known as a list of the most restrictive states regarding gun rights . So, pat yourselves on the back friends! no offense chef / others, you know what I mean.

I can’t wait to see which cases are taken up next session. I’d love to play with a bump stock again now that I’ve got down the effect without it pretty good.

    Patience can be good, sure.

But your state is blatantly flaunting the US Constitution. It’s time to fight and fight hard or you won’t ever be carrying a pistol legally in that state.

Again, I firmly believe the SC could declare Maryland a Constitutional Carry State on Tuesday, and half the people on this forum STILL WOULDN’T CARRY after that.

Many of you are that scared of the weak, unconstitutional law enforcing MSP that are scared of regular people carrying (how are these people in law enforcement being so scared)……and Low T AG that looks like he couldn’t lift a 10lb barbell with two hands.

Maryland is the oddball state where the residents are already use to bowing down, so sad from an outsiders perspective.

So no, patience is getting you nowhere fast. Make known to the state police they will be sued into homelessness for enforcing unconstitutional laws that violate federal civil rights.

Make known to the AG unconstitutional laws will not be followed AT ALL. **** these people, seriously.

There is talk on some very popular gun forums of concealed carriers completely ignoring your states carry laws when visiting, as again, your police are acting in bad faith and your AG is a lawbreaker.

    Patience is over

The time for playing nice is over. We have carry established as a right. Plain as day. Only tyrants or morons think it’s a good idea to keep it up. This right includes overthrowing tyrants. They think it’s a joke.

    Just wondering to myself...

What would happen, in regards to the NYSRPA ruling if MD decided to do away with preemption? Suddenly there could be a patchwork on inconsistency in how it all works. Would removal of preemption and some modifications to the current wear and carry code allow places like Baltimore City to issue their own permit?

I wonder if this would be a shenanigan too far...
The State won't give that up, they are too arrogant to think that local/county jurisdictions can do something better than them.

I would love to get a movement together when they allow public input, as many people as can get to sign up or attend and speak.
When the one minute starts it’s a very simple script:
[name], “the 2nd amendment states: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
With that said “Text, History, Tradition.” I now yield the remainder of my time. “

And person after person after person just repeats that.

That would cause them to simply ignore us entirely, better to get 1000's of people to show and state, in the allotted time, how the bill would personally affect them.

Feel free to come on up here and put some skin in the game instead of spouting off. Apply for a permit, testify this coming legislative session. Until you do that, you are just another blow hard, espousing about crap you have no clue about, in a state you do not reside in and have no worry about.

Some of these rankings are subjective , and depends if you have cut off of within oldest person's lifetime .

Across the board NJ and HI are most worstest longest .

Pre 1966 , Maryland would have been mid pack by the standards of the day .

Happy to help Marylanders. Not sure about the hot air, assume you don't like the realistic position that MGA is going to be a total pain in the a$$ regarding W&C permits for the foreseeable future. I don't like it anymore than you do. And yes, liberal judges are going to carry the water. That doesn't mean we should give up or quit, just realize its not going to be easy.

Not better so much as more. An amplification attack. Now there are hundreds of scattered laws to fight bleeding us peasants dry.

And all the while the state is saying "it's not us doing it" and shrugging.

Nope, the Legislature has never given up authority to "lesser" jurisdictions, unless they were forced to. They aren't forced to, so no real worry about a bunch of lawsuits with multiple jurisdictions in Maryland.

There will, however, be a bunch of lawsuits against the State directly, challenging more restrictions, plus any new restrictions they try.

Definitely. Even Waldstreicher's eyes start to glaze over after the 4th hour of Mad Mommies reading from the same talking points. I figure that's also why Smith didn't have SG ejected a few years back when he pulled his infiltration stunt, because it broke up the monotony.

Telling people that the liberal moon bats are gonna keep trying to stick it to us may be pessimistic but it sure is realistic. Very few courts paid Heller/McDonald any mind, expect even fewer to acknowledge Breun.
Heller forced DC to drop its total handgun ban. McDonald incorporated the 2A forcing Chicago to drop theirs. Heller, McDonald and their subsequent cases and challenges is the reason DC, Illinois and Chicago are shall issue. The liberal moon bats in DC and Illinois/Chicago put up the same resistance as what's going on now but eventually came to the realization that the lawsuits would cost them a lot of money. The majority of Americans simply do not side with their extreme anti-gun sentiments.

Maryland has an Attorney General who thinks that citizens should not own firearms, PERIOD, but that extreme belief conflicts with what the majority of Americans think. Even he and/or his successor will come to the realization that the huge potential loss of money in lawsuits isn't worth it.
