First job:
At my parent's property, they have a one level addition which has skylights. One of the skylights is leaking (I think around the edge of the skylights). I hired a handyman (the handyman my old neighbor uses and recommends). and he said he would fix it. All he did was add more nails to secure the skylight to the roof and then paint the edges with roofing tar. He did this for both skylights. I paid the guy and the next rain (yesterday/Saturday), the leak is still there. There was no written contract so I'm screwed there. I need someone who knows what they are doing to actually fix it.
Second job:
I had the roof and gutters replaced in 2016. Since then, there seems to be damage with the wood fascia where the gutter is attached. There is a large gap where the wood fascia is coming off of the side of the house. This has caused bird nests to accumulate so I hear birds there all the time. I need that wood piece to be either replaced and/or reattached so that the gap is closed.
If you know anyone who can do this type of work, I'd appreciate you sharing their contact information and any experiences or recommendations.
Thanks.
