    Q: What about renewals?

A: Any applications in process are still being processed unless the Bruen decision will have an impact on their application.

Not listening, but does 2A Maryland work for gun owners, or MSP ?

I appreciate the emails I get from 2 A concerning MGS Legislation. I am a bit troubled by what I've seen on this Zoom call though. I still keep all conduits open regarding 2nd Amendment issues and Maryland.

Q: do I need HQL fingerprints if I submit an exempt application?

A: No, additional fingerprints are not needed.

1SGT Pickle said Fingerprints submissions go through two separate systems for wear and carry and HQL. That is why you have to print twice.

Q: How long are fingerprints valid?

A: Fingerprints are good for 30 days. Once they are in the system "they remain there." MSP will accept fingerprints for up to one year.

Q: Is open carrying a rifle legal in MD?

A: *sigh* you have the right to carry a long gun in public. There is no regulation whether it is loaded or unloaded.

Talking about carrying a long gun now, open or unloaded. 1SGT Pickle sort of displayed a visual of "yeah" you can. John J. said not to to it.

Feeling that way as well. Feels like my MSI membership > SAF membership in terms of soup to nuts 2A advocacy for the state. Member of both, but this call was something else.

Q: Is there a database of instructors and their approval rates?

A: No, but they can "request it of their development team."

Q: Will people will restricted permits have to resubmit modifications or will it be automatic?

A: We don't know and are awaiting guidance from Frosh.

Q: One of the reasons for a carry permit is "being a physician" but I was denied. Is a being a physician still a valid reason to apply?

A: I need to look at my own website to see what it says. If the physician can provide G&S reason then MSP would consider it.

No. Being a physician is not a valid reason.
