I'd love to see him taken into custody my federal Marshalls for contempt.

It may happen, seriously. Marylanders will be carrying pistols en masse shortly, one way or another.

These 7 states are really pushing it. Some CA Congressman just said the Constitution is meaningless in regards to this ruling. I suggest these 7 states, if they really feel this strongly about preventing their citizenry from exercising their constitutional rights……start the secession process together and form a Confederacy. That way they can ignore the SC and US Constitution

Kinda hard for those 7 states to fight a war for secession with no guns.

( Trying hard to strike tone of realism , without drifting into BGOS )

It depends upon your context of en masse and of shortly .

In the imeadate future , we will still be dealing with the current process , minus only the G&S . Because that was the direct , explicit issue in Bruen .

In the long run , the remainder of our process ( and NY , and CA, and HI ) won't hold up as is under T, H , & T . But that will take legislative sausage making and litigation to find the outer limits of T, H, & T .

    Yes I agree

From out of state here is my perspective on what will stop some people (not all of course) from getting a Maryland CCW:

    - the 16 hour class is the longest required in the nation along with two other states
    -the cost and fees
    - the fact the state police call peoples employer? WTF is that ********
-the anti-gun police in the state of Maryland (total opposite of my experience here in the Tampa area of FL, which not only encourage ownership but carrying as well)
    - the BGOS, low Testosterone levels scared to take risks…and general apathy I have witnessed on this forum from some and even on Arfcom, where the few posters there from MD always sound defeated no matter the subject. I feel some won’t believe they will be approved no matter what

All in all this was a win. G&S is history. West Virginia will bring a lawsuit about reciprocity, which will go directly to the SC. I feel reciprocity is what eventually will bring “gun culture” to the state of Maryland. They will not be able to explain how out of staters can carry but you still have to take a 16 hour class and pay $$$$.

    Definitely a Huge Win ! Most especially the T, H, & T standard .

But it doesn't instantly solve everything gun related . The multitude of sub issues will need to be litigated .

( Donate to MSI , SAF , or even the state level Orgs in other battleground states litigating cases that will set Presecident .)

NY mayor says a woman executed while pushing a baby stroller is a national problem due to over saturation of guns.

Yes AK 47…… pistol in 7.62x39mm. It has a 10 inch barrel, which the 7.62x39mm round excels out of.

I’m a FL resident but I looked it up for you guys and the gun below is approved on your Maryland Handgun Roster. There are certain versions of AK rifles that you guys can own too but I’m not up to speed on those.

The Zastava M92 AK47 Pistol in 7.62x39mm, I own it……it is my favorite weapon, and I have a few to pick from to say the least lol. It is made and imported from Serbia, all Euro Comm Block.

Highly…highly……highly……recommended. And this is coming from someone that really never liked AKs that much, but this one is just too awesome. You can get the CNC Warrior folding brace for it (pictured below) and carry this thing in a backpack if you want .

It’s the bottom one in this screenshot. Also known as the ZPAP M92

If you were also asking about the VSKA, it’s century arms.

VSKA (pronounced vis'-kuh) is an acronym for Vermont-Stamped Kalashnikov. It recognizes that the gun is made in Vermont and follows the pattern of the original designer, Mikhail Kalashnikov.

So it’s an American made 7.62x39 but not considered a clone because it has no interchangeable parts with any other AK. If you put anything other than VSKA components into it you run the risk of it blowing up.

Now, your FFL may say it’s not legal because it’s not on the approved registry or it’s an AK, other FFL with say it’s not on the banned list by name and because it’s not a clone we will sell it to you. If your FFL says no, you can call around to other places and find one that will.

Just know that I bought it, it was sent to through the proper channels for review of my purchase and our overlords signed off on the purchase and transfer.

Once upon a time, I lived in New York and was a holder of an unrestricted carry license. With that unrestricted carry license I was able to carry in bars, movie theaters, sporting events, hospitals and on mass transit. Schools, jails, courts and airports were the only off limits locations.

NY (and MD) are not going to be able to get away with the "sensitive place" restrictions they are proposing. If these areas were truly sensitive, they would have been off limits for decades.

States are not going to be able to ban carry on mass transit because:

    a) there is an acute need for self defense there as anyone who has ridden on a NYC subway or MD metro subway knows and

    b) prohibiting carry on mass transit discriminates against those who can't afford a car and has a racially disparate impact.

It will be similar for restaurant carry. A prohibition on carrying firearms while drinking and/or intoxicated can survive strict scrutiny. A prohibition on carrying firearms just because the restaurant you're eating at has a drink menu will not.

Strict scrutiny isn't the standard. Means-end evaluation was rejected. Is there THT to apply restrictions to people in pubs during the founding days? I don't know. Does someone lose their 2nd amendment rights just because they had a beer? Sounds like an infringement to me.

Totally agree with your post. They will not be able to ban carry at all these places, no way.

For the bar/restaurant alcohol issue……Florida does it like this. You CAN carry into any establishment however you cannot be in the “bar area”. If you walk into a Chilis you must go sit in the restaurant part, not the bar part. It’s really dumb imo but I guess it works we really don’t have many shootings from CCW’s in bars down here.

There was a shooting outside at an indoor/outdoor establishment in Saint Augustine, FL two years ago. Apparently a drunk bar patron came out to the patio area, slapped some random guys wife, then punched the husband in the face and told him he was “going to kill him” …..the husband pulled his pistol and shot the guy in the outside patio portion of the establishment. No arrest, no charges, he did have a FL CCW permit
