Night time snake head fishing with bow from small boat

I have a smaller 16' Lowes John Boat that I use for fishing and crabbing. I go snakehead fishing daytime but never at night. I talked to a few guys that use LED lights and say that the Snakes stay on top of water at night and not cautious like other fish. I want to use crossbow with fishing arrow. Also is it legal to spear or gig them at night from a boat? I am looking for area also off of Patapsco as I am back in Bear Creek and plenty of coves and grass cover now. Any pointers or info appreciated. Randy

I own property with a pond that has snakehead fish. Bow hunting them is best when it's still dark for this very reason I have heard. Haven't done it yet though.

How did the snakeheads get into your pond? I would be bow hunting them for sure. They will compete for food and kill everything in your pond if they have not yet.

How many guys can you take out for a night? My neighbor and I would be interested. I do a lot of archery hunting, but he doesn't, would you lend us bows?

Yup. You got it. Some have big lights all the way around the boat.

our bows are set up right at 30lbs of draw with very little let off. It will depend on his size honestly. Ive had 10 year old that were able to shoot and Ive had 12 year olds that couldnt. But we would do everything we can to figure something out. We love getting the kids out there!
