Only 44 of the 76 board members voted for Wayne last go around.
Only have to turn 7 more to bounce WLP.

Still a long haul to ditch the cronyism. Could start by reducing the Board from 76(!) to something manageable, like a dozen or so. Then they could start rooting out the rest of the leeches.

With 76 members, it's like a social club. I wonder what their annual expenses are.

Totally unmanageable number, with so little influence and impact per member, no wonder they blow off their meetings and obligations. It's like an honorary position.

Still, I hope enough of them get it together later this week to vote for a change.

I'm paid up a few years in advance, but they haven't seen any more money from me for over 2 yrs and if WLP is still allowed to rob the till when my membership comes up, I will be a non-member for the first time since I was 12.
I’m an endowment member. They haven’t seen a dime from me in years. Wayne needs to go.

I wish I was clear in my mind who the good guys and who the bad guys are within NRA. Can't think of a truly workable idea with regard to how best to find out either.
    Good guys = the membership.
Bad guys = the political slugs in control.

The 76 board members were carefully selected o continue WLP's pillaging of the NRA.

As a Life Endowment member, they get not a penny from me until WLP and his cronies are gone.

The way I see it there are 32 board members that are siding with Loretta James to decide what is best for the NRA while 44 of them that have access to what is really going on at the NRA want to keep the current leadership.
What's wrong with this picture ?

    West's bid fails.

You gotta be kidding me. West only got 1 vote, and with the NRA falling apart, they re-elected Wayne? I guess the leadership is going to ride the gravy train and fatten up as much as they can until it derails. I haven't renewed my NRA membership in years since they won't get rid of WLP. Other pro 2A groups do, but the NRA was the largest, biggest punching bag for the left we had. Hopefully the other groups can grow to take over as our defenders.

I don't know how the internal NRA politics work, but it sounds like a push to replace those 54 board members is in order, for the good of the organization. I assume they are voted on by the membership? What does it take to get replacement candidates in place to campaign for board membership? There were probably ballot materials and other info buried in all of the NRA junk mail I used to get, but I didn't pay very much attention to it then.

Maybe there needs to be a campaign to encourage and promote well known pro-2a persons as cadidates for the board, to get their names out to the membership before the next elections.

Like many, I let my membership lapse over the last 1-2 years. I'm sure that means I can't vote.... so maybe that is the wrong tactic.

1/3 (?) of them were just up for election/re-election in annual staggered elections. Ballots were in the March or April edition of the NRA magazines that went out to voting members and were due back weeks ago.

There are umpteen names on the ballots, different versions go out with candidates in different order, and you have to mark the ballot with a polonium-infused pen on an even calendar date between the hours of 1-3 a.m. Just kidding. The hours are from 2-3 a.m.

I wonder what % of eligible members even voted, let alone knew anything about the 1/3 (?) of the board that was up for consideration.

    There's always next year.
