We're monitoring. If he can prove his case, than we should be aware. If he can't, than its up to Duffy's if they wish to pursue libel charges.
It looks like the MDS Community Self Policing Program is already up and running. Duffy's may want to keep it up for the testimonials...

Kinda reminds me of the "don't shop at Jo Bob's" thread. I doubt would have ever heard of Jo Bob's without it...let alone start shopping there :innocent0

I have only been to Duffy's twice because they are very far away from me. While I cannot provide an informed opinion about their practices, I have heard many good things, and no bad things, about them.

The OP, OTOH, writes a single paragraph of 332 words that is nearly unreadable. Didn't the OP pay attention in high school and learn how to draft the standard five paragraph paper? I did when it was taught during my freshman year. Draft an intro paragraph, three body paragraphs that lay out your position, and a conclusory paragraph. That is something that is simple, organized and clear for the reader. Instead we have OP's word salad stream of consciousness. OP's credibility comes up short in my book.
I got no idea what the hell yer talkin about but it might explain why a coupla folks here always got mile long posts :innocent0

I have purchased firearms from Duffy’s and used their gunsmithing services. I always thought their prices were fair and the gunsmith did good work.

Gun shops are run by people, which means they aren’t capable of being perfect, but I would be surprised if OP’s allegations were true.

Weren’t guns of any variety extremely expensive a year ago.

Anyways Duffy’s is great, I always enjoy my visit there. I refer people there when they’re looking for the legal and barely legal types of firearms. The problem is many dealers don’t care or want to take the risk of selling a firearm that resembles a unconstitutionally banned firearm based on looks. Many don’t have the knowledge, time, or skills to make a firearm complaint to be Maryland legal.

This is why we need great local gun stores because they don’t cave into bureaucracy or political correctness like big box stores.

    Where’s the Devil himself?

I've bought 3 handguns from Duffy's, I didn't any issues with any of them and though that they were very well priced.
I would buy from them again.
I would be a regular customer; except they are an hour and a half drive for me. Two of the 3 handguns I bought off of their GB listing and the third I bought out of their case when I was there to fill out the 77R on one of the first two.
They came across to me as straight up good people to deal with.

Never been to Duffy,s. This is the first negative thing I've heard about them. Pretty sure I won't "steer clear" as op suggested
I have a list of negative things about them!

They don't have "Silent Sunday" anymore.

Sparks is a long way from my house.

Uh, I guess it's kind of a short list.

Maybe I should stop by there and see if there's something else I could add.

I’m in 5 figures at Duffy’s. So far, I’ve been very happy.
I had to re-read that. I saw "five fingers" the first time.

I bought a couple guns, and other stuff from Duffy's and it was a good experience. In fact, one of the times, I made a mistake that favored them, and they were honest about it. I just don't get over there as often as I would like since my territory changed, and I used to work over that way.

FWIW I have found them to be a nice shop to deal with in the times I've been there. That being said I find their prices high, I think that's a function of the area they are in. But nice folks.

I don't know if Duffy's still has their range open. It would be fun to see how long it would take me to climb that hill. It would probably add a half hour to my range time. :)

I'm sorry to read the OP's rant. There is no reasoning with someone who has buyer's remorse.
