Can someone please edit that video and remove the personal identification information from it. The anti gunners will have a hay day with that much information. Scamming, doxing, harassment, etc…

I take no issue with the rest of the video. (Other than the dropping of the hardware onto the paint finish of the man’s car trunk lid. That was disrespectful of his property.)

    Otherwise,
    Good stop/investigation…
    Good outcome…

If the WPD was really on the ball, they should have been running the tags on that Gold Pontiac Aztek.

Walter White, Jr or Heisenberg wannabe could have been in town to sell some Blue.

Kinda sad the younger officer didn't know how to clear an AR.
I get that this doesn't go over well since it's out of the norm, and I'm surprised it went so well since they couldn't remember the phrase "pistol brace."
Good learning experience all around. I'm told they don't teach this at any of the academies because exercising your 2A civil right in public in Maryland is so rare. And if you think Karens get excited over not wearing a mask...

How do they not know guns and gun laws?
Quoting you but it seems like a lot of people have similiar questions.

Been a cop 22 years. The number of "gun people" amongst police is only marginally higher than it is in the general population. Cops spend WAY more time driving and using computers than they do with guns, but nobody is surprised that we're not all computer guys or car guys. Hell, I moderate this board and I'd have needed a minute to figure out if it was a braced pistol or an SBR.

As for knowing the laws, I promise you there isn't a cop anywhere who knows all the minutia of every law in their jurisdiction. That's why we have numbers we can call to verify stuff. With as fast as the legislature passes inane new laws, there's simply no way to remember all the details of all of them.

My opinion, worth what you paid for it.

Edited to add... I am curious why her body cam footage is available on YouTube. FoIA request?

Not sure if it's the OP or not. His info says he's from Virginia but the car had MD tags.
I hope it was him though. Good video.

Maryland calls it a PIA (and a lot of the time it is) but yes.

Takes folks like him to audit the system, pretty brave.

The LEO did well and did not get too crazy and were professional carrying out their duties, i understand their concern because it is rarely done in Maryland

Not really, probably owns a business or has TS clearance. And if the ERPO didn't survive a date with the judge no reason why his permit should have been revoked. More damning of the ERPO system than anything IMO.
Oh, agree the ERPO system is ridiculous. Surprised MD didn’t make things difficult.

It’s his video. He chose to upload it that way.
