First, I have to say that the po-po did a very good job. They saw a Unicorn in MD. They were suspicious, but admitted they did not know the answer. They called the right people. They acted appropriately and professionally.

I assume the video was of the OP? Wow. Thoroughly enjoyed that. I’d love to send you a years supply of brass polish for your balls. Great job.

that was interesting. at least they didn't yank him out of his car and throw on the cuffs. i will say i wouldn't want those guys clearing MY guns, they didn't seem the most weapons-knowledgeable.

I'll bet that made for some interesting locker room banter. Hopefully they'll be inspired to spend a little time on firearms recognition and terminology. Glad it worked out and they were able to get the body cam footage to post.

First and foremost, her nails were very professional. She was very articulate too.

…second, wow. Great video. ANYBODY HERE WONDER JUST HOW THAT VIDEO WAS OBTAINED SO IT COULD BE POSTED HERE?

As the fella said in the old Porky Pig show…..that’s all folks.

Whoo boy, when she's on the phone with the gun center and asks if he's allowed to OC these obviously terror inducing weapons she says that the gun center will have to look at his permit. His permit, how about the annotated code of Maryland? Or educate yourself on the law, realize that this was just a good citizen exercising his rights and send him on his way.

Kudos, OP. I know why you were shopping at Lowes, had to pick up a wheelbarrow for those balls.

    oh cmon, a taurus???

That is at least a felony.

    lmao.
    Good job, whomever this is.

I love how they keep looking over the guns as if they had never seen something so exotic.

"He can just ride around and carry these all day."

    Whew!

How do they not know guns and gun laws? She doesnt' know what a 223 round is? "He had a... what is this?", "short barreled", "Short barrel" , "But he has the fore grip". Points at his forearm.

It should have went down like this, "Here's my unrestricted carry permit." Cop checks it and thinks it through. Thank you sir, have a nice day. Why do you have to call "the gun center"? He has an unrestricted permit.

Another officer wants ID, Address, Phone Number, where he's working, social? Why?

She's says "He can just ride around and carry all these?" Yeah.

Props to the OP for keeping his cool (supposing that was him) and great explanation by him at the end, I wish more people had the guts to do this. I genuinely believe it would save lives.

Kinda sad the younger officer didn't know how to clear an AR.
I get that this doesn't go over well since it's out of the norm, and I'm surprised it went so well since they couldn't remember the phrase "pistol brace."

    Surprised they didn’t demand a Form 1 or 4

    Good to see you!
You assume they know what that is. I’m shocked the nice police officer even knew what an SBR was and that it was treated as a handgun. They called in the serial and it was registered to the fellow possessing it. I bet he figured that was good enough.
