New Conversation System - was PM...

Hey folks, this is the new way to PM (Private Message) or as it's called now 'Start Conversation.'

It is located everywhere you see a Profile.

    Quick Conversation System help.

The conversation system to me is the biggest change and it has its flaws. But it has some nice features as well. I did buy a better add-on for more features.

    1) Labels: This option provides certain user groups the ability to create their own labels and assign them to their conversations for easy referencing. Conversations are searchable by prefix. Functions like mail-like folders.
    2) Rules: If you use the system often to chat, these may help some. I have never used it.
    3) Groups: I will have a mod/admin group, good for folks in the same area that shoot, etc together perhaps.
    4) Auto Response: good for those that vacation or are away.

Here is how to Delete or Leave a conversation, move them, etc.

I don't see a delete option under the choose action drop down.

Same. Still no delete option regardless of number of conversations selected.

To delete messages, you choose 'leave conversation'. A popup like this will appear.

It is a strange way of describing it, but it makes sense if you have a multi-person conversation going on. It's a little like unwatching a thread.

I've done that. Regardless of which option I choose (accept or ignore) the message remains in the inbox. Doesn't seem like any way to permanently delete messages or remove from inbox.

huh. I just deleted one to test it. The very top of the conversation. Expand the options on the top left. Leave, and it’s gone.

After you chose one of the two options, did you click the 'Save' button or close the popup with the 'X' in the corner?

After I chose the first option like you see in my post I clicked 'Save' and the messages were gone.

If you click the 'X' it will cancel the process.

I've done all of the stated. Some conversations delete (more recent ones) and some don't (those from right after the switch over).

Hello - Trying to sent a conversation with a member and I can not seem to locate the button on the members profile. Am I missing something that is right in front of my face ? I looked through all the screen shots

    thanks

Thanks - I was wondering what I was doing wrong. I am about to retire and I wanted to get into reloading. So I was trying to reach out to a couple of individuals listed in my area.

I suggest posting a message in the introduction forum and mention where you live and that you're into reloading... or maybe an intro and an additional post in the reloading forum.

Edit: may be a little late for an intro, lol.
