In the past week or so i hit a few gun stores in MOCO. I went into Atlantic guns in rockville because i heard great things/selection i browsed for a few minutes with about 3 other people in the store… not busy. I looked around about 5 minutes and asked the guy at the counter a simple question or 2. no more than a
    20-30 second conversation…

he seemed “preoccupied” and not wanting to be helpful at all. I get it some days at work can be shitty i guess. But he shut me down on inquiring about a certain gun and seemed to snap at me in a rude manner like i was beneath him and wasting his time even after saying i wanted to buy a gun… i was a little dumbfounded and walked out.. ok you don’t seem to want my business i suppose…

Went into engage armament and experienced similar scenario like I was wasting their time. It was a simple question of “do you guys have x gun?” Followed by “can i order it?”

I don’t normally rant about places but kinda crappy experience from my angle going first time. I hate going into gun stores like that… i get it, you guys have been super busy through the pandemic as have i, and probably have had a bunch of people coming in asking dumb questions… but still.

I will continue to keep going down to United gunshop. They have always treated me right and have fair prices for the most part. Sorry for the rant.

Ya that’s aggravating when a shop owner/employee is short with ya. I can relate and I thinks it happened to everyone. Ordering I don’t even try these days . If I don’t see it out I don’t question. Also don’t like when they are over helpful.sometimes I just want to browse . One good thing is we have choices some closer some farther , plenty of businesses that will take our money. I’m always driving up to Hafers it’s 1 1/2 for me but I like them . Thinking maybe try them places again maybe you will get different employee. For me I’ve learned give a place a 2nd chance may be better with different staff . Just don’t like judging a place on one person having a bad day . It’s sucks not getting service when you want it though . A lot of places new I go in I act like a new buyer ,new to shooting .seems everyone loves to help then .everybody is a self prescribed gun expert. I know what I know and that’s it’s. Anyway I say try again hopefully you get someone else .JMO my morning rant

When you asked questions, were they taking care of other customers who was there before you, at the time?

No there was nobody around at all. He was just at the counter and i waited patiently as he was moving stuff around. He saw me there standing for a good minute or so. Then i said excuse me and was kinda like “yeah?” Not even looking me in the face as i was talking.

Yeah i understand completely. I’m not shutting them out and never going there again or anything. I’ll try again and see how it goes. Yeah i do get that though everybody is a gun expert if you act like you’re new. I usually just nod my head and agree haha.

Masada is a customer service experience. Best gun store I’ve ever been to..

Don't go on Fridays. There is a man bun that works there who can be quite abrupt. He will try to sell you steak seasoning.

    The seasoning is actually good.:D

Bit of a stretch there IMO lol.

Fine folks over at Masada, no doubt, and def a better attitude towards their customers, but they have enough Black Aces sh*t on the walls to make any gun enthusiast go insane.

I go to Continental because I have a degradation kink... now THAT's a store that knows how to crap on their customers.

Not since they were all put on clearance for $299 (except the FD12 Bullpups, which you need to try sometime)
