Section242 is solely a criminal statute. It does not provide for a civil remedy. Section 1983 applies only to STATE actors and municipalities, not federal officers. There is a Bivens suit available against federal officers individually, but they almost always fail on qualified immunity. In short, it is tough.

Couldn't the right just make a new law and then enforce it regardless of it being a legal or illegal law? Its seems to work for the left.
    /sarcasm

In all seriousness. We have more than enough laws already. We dont need anymore. In fact instead of making new laws politicians should be .....f it.....never mind......not going to happen anyway.

Why not write letters to the politicians so that we can get canned responses back. I'm sure that'll change their mind.

We could vote In republicans here in MD. Nvm again, not enough republicans to win the vote or actual republican candidates who are actually republicans in anything other than name.

How are you .govs working with our ss? And yet we entrust them to make good laws or follow the laws already on the books. Has killary been charged with anything yet?

That ridiculous bill is one part virtue signalling against the Eeeeeeevil NRA, and one part strategy to force VA taxpayers to fund a years-long court battle that the NRA will also have to expend money to fight. The bill's sensibility is completely nonsense on the face of it. The sponsor seems to be implying that he's trying make sure that some Angry Gun Owner doesn't leave a range and walk into an attached office building with more than 50 people in it ... but he's fine if the murderer only has 49 people to shoot at. That underlying BS premise is just proof that it's only and entirely about going after the NRA's litigation budget for political sport.
