Can anyone post a link to good stripper clips for my new (to me) SKS.
Sarco is selling them with an ammo pouch 10 for $10. Original surplus. All I got work great.
Here you go.....

Spend 20 bucks for 20 and you likely will never need to replenish. I rotate mine and they have never given me any issues.
Ta Da, Arsenal 26, 6 digit serial, all matching number SKS.

Anyone know the manufacture date of this SKS.
Probably 1959. http://chinesesks.weebly.com/dating-the-chinese-sks.html
I’ve got a 1979 S/N and I’ve been building an SKS from a barreled receiver that looks like a 1957 S/N
Hello,
I hear people talk about sks rifles but not that much around my way. Whats some of the reasons to own one if I come across a good deal. What calibers can u get them in??
They are reliable, cheap to shoot, easy to operate and fun. They only come in 7.62x39 and can cost anywhere from $300 +.
Anyone know the manufacture date of this SKS.
Can you post a better HD photo?
Can't clearly read the serial number or arsenal stamp.
Looks like the first two digits are 16 or 15?
This would indicate 15th (1970) or 16th (1971) year of production:
Original issue features for that year would be:
-Spike bayonet
-two piece gas tube assembly
-no machine cut on the right side of the bolt
-either pinned or short lug barrel.

Hope this helps
Definitively a 16th year gun(1971).
The "C' was added by importer or exporter
Looks to be in excellent condition. Nice catch.
Arsenal stamp still hard to make out.
Check out this link to see if you can find it among those listed:
