"We will not comply" and "**** you" are two different things. You can see why because the second will have a bunch of asterisks. Most of the idiots up there are self-righteous arses, and a large number lawyers. When a judge hears someone testify with four letter words, the message is received with less credence. I suggest we look through this with the same lens. We must remember the audience. If we cuss them out, they are just going to roll and glass over their eyes and think "another gun nut." Remember how Barry Soetoro described us? These people all worship the ground he walks on.



The other thing to consider is how the left and drive by media will portray this. That screen grab will be the summary - not the other 17 hours of measured, reasoned, logical explanation. We need the John Does, and dare I say, the Fudds, to rally to our side.



The message of we will not comply is measured. It warns them of what will occur, without losing our moral high ground.

I would disagree. They already think we’re gun nuts. This won’t change anything. Right or wrong, all Mopar did was what every person on our side who was there yesterday would like to do.

So, seeing them do that makes you think they're right when they do that do you? I don't follow the logic. Yes, the left has been screwing us for generations, now. If one of them says "fvck you" while they gear up to do more of it, I don't stop to reconsider my opposition to them because they were lazily willing to trot out some more insult to go with the injury. Every time some angry lefty lets loose with the vitriol, invective, and the literal or metaphorical giving me the finger, it reminds me how wrong they are. And that they know their position is philosophically weak if they have to resort to that to make themselves seem passionate.

Perhaps weak but it is working in this state. I'm not trying to argue ... crap, I need to get some work done.

The mistake you guys are making is assuming that the left thinks like you do, is motivated by what motivates you, and will act like you act. They have a completely different mindset. I'm sure they all dread the gun bill hearing day and think if they just ignore you, you will say your peace and then they can get on with their infringements. They could care less about your testimony, it's just something they have to endure because they haven't changed the rules of public testimony yet. Mopar got through to them more than anyone else yesterday.

Couldn't agree more. This is not the image that we want representing what we are trying to do in Annapolis. Unfortunately, this is exactly how the left will represent it.

Optics are everything. Even the IRA had Sinn Féin for when they needed a calm, presentable face for the political arena and the press tours. You can say and do whatever you want to when you're here, with your friends, or at the range, but when the camera is rolling and the politicians are watching, people need to stay collected and do their best to channel their inner Gerry Adams.

Regardless of how we are represented and who we are they will paint us all in the same light. Between my customers and friends there are doctors and lawyers that have more in their collection than my entire net worth yet are the salt of the earth to blue collar workers to retirees. In this fight I couldn’t pick a better group of people to align myself with. They’d give you their shirt off their back without a second thought. On the other hand if I saw a liberal on fire I wouldn’t piss on them.
