"Blue Wave" sounds like a serious environmental hazard. Is it toxic to marine life? Somebody should call the EPA.

I was under the impression that the electoral college procedures were in the Constitution Article II Section 1

    Is this wrong?

google is your friend, I am not.
I was under the impression that the electoral college procedures were in the Constitution Article II Section 1

    Is this wrong?

States can assign their electors any way they want. Many states already do assign electors proportionally. Can Connecticut assign theirs based on how California votes? That would be up to CT.

Its a misguided effort. The vast majority of the time the electoral college winner is also the popular vote winner. It will probably change how people campaign and there would be a greater effort to turn out Republicans in blue states (like, ironically, CA), so its not necessarily a bad thing.

    Ok thanks for the explanation

I would think that an attempt to do that would be seen as an attempt to discount the will of the people, even the minority party voters.

But the Dems will do whatever it takes to win

    Standard reminder about complacency.

If the North Korea deal falls apart, another major shooting, it could gain energy again.

I think that Millennials, because they have the attention span of a gerbil after a decade+ of staring at a screen, will be totally distracted by a series of different squirrels by election day. They'll forget to vote in droves.

Generation Z, OTOH, is the most conservative of this century so far, and is getting close to voting age in increasing numbers. The pendulum is swinging the other way now.

Because the term "progressive" became somewhat of a dirty word years ago, so they switched to "liberal". Now "liberal" is a dirty word in most of the country, so they've gone back to "progressive". It's pretty typical of those folks, just change the name, repackage, and try to sell it again.

How about, "totalitarian"? That's all-encompassing and has a nice ring to it.
