Good afternoon everyone. I've been wanting a 9mm AR that uses Glock mags(because I have Glock mags and the Colt ones seem to be out of stock anyway)for quite sometime and have decided to do it(at what seems to be the worst possible time). I've pestered my buddy and DA about which route to go. I can buy a kit from Thundertactical for $518 shipped. A kit from Daytona tactical is $560 shipped. I know little to nothing about either place, although I've called them both. Thunder used bear creek barrels and Daytona claims to make their own. I started trying to piece one together and here's what I'm coming up with so far:
    -lower($100)
    -barrel($70-$100)
    -upper($40-$140)
    -lpk($60-$65)
    -stock kit($60+)
    -handguard($100+ for free float)
    -9mm buffer($25)
    -Barrel nut(?)
Am I missing anything? Those prices do NOT include shipping and are sourced from various places. If anyone has a build list for a 9mm rifle that they would care to share, I'd appreciate it.
This is going to be a range toy and used in combat carbine matches. I don't need or want to spend money on top of line everything for it.

You're missing the buffer tube and spring. I recommend the Tubb 308 spring.
You'll need to buy a 9mm Bolt Carrier Group.
    I'd recommend a 9mm low mass hammer.
You will need some type of sights or scope.
You will also need a flash suppressor unless the barrel you buy isn't threaded.

You will need some specific tools to assemble the AR.

This is just off the top of my head. You may need other things that I haven't thought of.

    Good Luck

you are missing a bolt. will be $200+ for a good one. if you can increase your budget a bit id suggest looking into QC10. They are top of the line when it comes to PCC.

For what you pay for that, check out the CMMG delayed blowback offering. BCG/barrel for $400. Then you also save money on a heavy buffer. It’s not much more expensive and should shoot nicer than straight blowback.

Thank you for the input. I found a 9mm bcg with forward assist serrations for $99 on sale. I want to use an upper with a forward assist bc I like the way they look. I have already assembled one AR, so I have or have access to the tools needed. I don't have a bore scope like DA has though ;) I've never heard about the low mass 9mm hammer, so that's good info to know. Thank you for the help

Thank you sir. I was just watching a video on the CMMG Guard pistol...I like it! The whole setup is spendy for someone in my tax bracket lol.

Figure the bolt/barrel will add less than $100 to the build.

I'm never going to be able to sell my Faxon barrel if you keep this up!

LOL. Sorry! I love delayed blowback and am spreading the good news. Everyone knows the only thing better than delayed blowback is a Faxon barrel....

I'm trying to shop around to get the lowest prices on decent items so that maybe I can work it in. The cheapest I've found a 9mm bolt is $99 and a barrel is either $69 for unknown and $100 for kak. That puts the CMMG $200 more. But I do like it. I'm trying to stay under $600, but it's getn tough lol

Check out DTF industries, they have some really nice light hand guards and what not for the 9 upper. My buddy is building one with one of their hand guards.

Gotcha. Wish I could say I had some parts I could sell you on the cheap. There is some clown selling a Facon barrel. Maybe he can save you a couple of bucks.

I recently put an Aero Precision free float on a 9mm build for something like $70. Shop around. Check out gun-deals.com and https://gun.deals. I also routinely search for blemished stuff.
