Even at $275, might be a tough sell against established alternatives like S&W SD.
If there attempt is to compete with the S&W SD than they should have just marketed a rock with a TLR Rail

The only semi-auto handgun Ruger needs to do a remake of, is the P-series. Those things were built like freaking tanks.
The Tupperware gun stuff has been done to death, IMO.

I have a few more but I didn't want to show off... P series "R" guns make great crab mallets in the summer... clear it... beat crab claws and enjoy... wipe it off... reload... back in service... no muss... no fuss...

Doesn't Ruger already have SR9, American something and now this?
Still have my P90 as well. Just put Hogue rubber grips on it this summer, feels like a brand new pistol. Had it since ‘94, never had a single malfunction, ever. Was my 1st handgun purchased, and still one of my most accurate pistols. Still big & clunky, and rattles way too much by today’s standards but I “can’t quit” it....There’s nothing I can do to shoot it poorly. With (# withheld) pistols to choose from in my stable, this is still my primary HD handgun. My uncle still has his P90, freaking tank.
the fact it is hammer fired is a desirable feature. Primarily because the resistance the slide encounters against the hammer holding it in battery longer (more dwell time) before unlocking begins to occur. This can yield more efficient operation and potentially better accuracy. All factors the Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm pistols lack and need.
