Yeah, Ed Asner the actor who played Lou Grant (editor) on the Mary Tyler Moore show....guess that makes him an expert, saying the Nation was founded on gun control which then takes him to the Collective vs Individual interpretation of the right, which was settled with Heller in 2008, which he then says was wrongly decided.

I read a piece about Asner years ago. He talked about starring in El Dorado with John Wayne and basically called him an anti-semite. His basis for this was that Wayne called him a "New York" actor.

Funny, Wayne made a deal with Kurt Douglas for him to star in "The War Wagon" in exchange for Wayne being in "Cast a Giant Shadow". In case you've never seen it, "Cast a Giant Shadow" is about the founding of Israel in 1948 and the subsequent Arab invasion. Quite the anti-semite move to appear in that one.
