Panzerfaust Armory or Victory Arms and Munitions. Both of them are top-knotch dealers although on the higher spectrum of pricing. Still, they are within reason unlike certain other dealers...

    I like SOG.
I have done very well on Gunbroker, but it requires patience and some luck.

A quick search for "C&R Dealers" brought up the link below. Lots of links there, but I haven't checked them out.

Try searching misspelled words and phrases on Gunbroker. Moisen instead of Mosin, etc...

AIM is good, and so is SOG. I got a great Chinese SKS and P64 from SOG this year.

Classic is hit or miss. Had to return a gun from there this year and have not dealt with them since.

And if you're looking for a dirt cheap ($150 shipped) Chinese Chian kai Shek Mauser, this is the place:

    Congrats!

First and foremost is figuring out what you really want to do (and how much you're willing to spend), which will point towards where to look.
There's a temptation to just jump in and start grabbing things willy-nilly but take your time.

GunBroker is probably the best source for a wide selection of items, prices and condition, but as pointed out you need to be educated and patient -
and willing to walk from folks that won't send to FFL-03's and/or to MD without getting upset and frustrated :)

Auction Arms (gunauction.com) is also a decent place but not anywhere near as many items listed.
But you can find some really great deals because it's less trafficked.

Auctions can be a fun way to build up a collection, but some self-discipline in setting a hard bidding limit is required !
That's a tough lesson to both learn and abide by.

Two guys I deal with are David Rachwal (HandgunsOfTheWorld.com) and Tom Whiteman at LegacyCollectibles.com
Both have websites with higher-end items, but also run $1 auctions on GunBroker.
Charlie Justmann at Checkpointcharlies.com is also a great source, he has some very reasonably priced stuff.
All three are very MD-FFL03-friendly, and good guys with great return policies.
David is handguns, Tom is mostly handgun with a sprinkling of long-guns, and Charlie has a pretty decent mixture of handgun and long-gun.

I haven't messed with David Kroh at EmpireArms because everything sells out before I even get his emails.
But he's another good source of reasonably priced rifles if you're fast enough on the draw.

A word of advice: Enjoy yourself and never look back.

Good advice. For me it's always been about education, hope and the chase. Add the amazing folk I've been lucky to meet on MDS and I'm fortunate to have a hobby that's meaningful in more than just the acquisition of stuff. I hope you enjoy the journey as much as I have!
