    thats the new magpul afg

    You made me google AFG:

    "MAGPUL AFG (Angled ForeGrip)"

The Magpul AFG puts the hand in a position called supination. Supination occurs when the hand is held with the palm facing up and the knuckles towards the ground. This puts the musculus supinator muscles in extension with most weapon movement coming from the distal radioulnar articulation. (wrist joint) With weapon articulation coming from the wrist, the muscles being in extention, and the supination muscles being stronger than pronation muscles the AFG actually reduces shooter fatigue and enhances point control like no other firearm grip on the market.

I've already been in touch with Cav, they will replace it, as they did the one before that split in exactly the same manner. Funnily enough, they both split while shooting outdoors in below freezing weather.

A vendor sent me a buffer that wasn't heavy enough, despite their assurance it was suitable. This only happened because I was shooting a 45ACP upper with a buffer that weighed 6oz, not 8oz. Now that I know that the buffer was the wrong weight, I will buy a Hahn buffer of the correct weight.

Thanks for clearing it up. I hadn't heard of them failing under normal usage and it seems this one didn't. Glad to see they are taking care of you regardless. I'll shoot some business their way for sure now.

Can you tell me what kind of can and quick-mount brake you are using?
I'm shopping for a .223 can that I can use on a SBR, an SPR, and also on a Zimmerman precision .22 rifle.

:sad20: To think of all the dead kittens and puppies this thread represents :sad20:

That being said... I'm feeling like I need to start thinking about an EBR. I'm in AZ right now and am gonna try out my bro-in-law's AR-15 this week. We'll see where I go from there...

Scope looks like Vector Optics to me.

One internet cookie for you! Yes it is a Vector 1x4 with an American Defense mount.

The can is a YHM SS Phantom I picked up @ White Marsh Arms. It comes with the QD mount. I saw your thread about your can questions and Jeep did a great job answering. I shoot very little .22lr out of it but it is true about the can getting gummed up. When I shoot .22 out of it I usually follow up with a couple 5.56 to try to shake the fouling out. So far so good...

    Mod list:
    DPMS lower
    LMT upper
    MI 7" FF rail
    YM M16 BCG
    YHM SS Phantom
DPMS LPK, trigger massaged a little
    CAR stock - no name..
    YHM hooded front sight/gas block
YHM rear sight - thing is badass. All you have to do is press a button and it flips up because it is spring loaded. I love it!
Magpul B.A.D. Lever - I think every right handed shooter should have one.
Magpul Miad - It took me a long time to switch because everyone and their brother has one, now I know why.
Magpul Sling - I went through a couple slings and found this one to suit me best. I like the way it can transition from 1pt to 2pt easily.
    KNS anti rotation pins
    PRI BigLatch on the CH
    Magpul triggerguard

The only other thing I want is a TangoDown stubby foregrip and I am done for now.

Thanks for the praises, it is my favorite rifle to shoot. Runs like a top too.

ETA: I edited this 3 time because I couldnt remember everything on it and had to look at the pic!

Anyone loking to only get one can (ONE) Can, I HIGHLY suggest getting a YHM .308 Can with Q.R. Flash Hiders.

You get that flash hider for each platform ou want to suppress and with a couple of yourns you can swap it between multiple guns with ease.

    You can shoot:
.22 L.R. (Dont fire .22 in theis can much because of the Heavy Fouling nature of the .22 L.R. Round, the can is not made to be disassembled)
    5.7
    .223/5.56
    .243
    .22-250
.25-06 (Not Real Effective on this Round)
    .270
.30-06 (Not Real Effective on this Round)
    .308/7.62x51
    7.62x54r
    7.62x39
    5.45x39
    6.5
    6.8
.300 Win Mag (Not Real Effective on this Round)

    All out of one Can
