I need a fingerprint card to send to VA. More specifically I need a place that will transfer prints done electronically to a standard FBI FD-258 print card that is located in the Baltimore/Harford Co area as Virginia still requires a hard copy. I have the card...

    thanks

I have used my County Sherrifs department to get the ink cards done. Calvert Sherrifs have link for appointment to get it done. I think most offer this service

Make sure VSP will accept prints on a card they did not supply to you. Those cards have the VSP ORI number on them and may be required for acceptance.

They may be acceptable, bit checking first may save some grief and aggravation. I always used the VSP provided cards.

Unfortunately FL only allows prints done by a LE agency, not an authorized Livescan vendor

don't forget to put the LE agency info on the back of the card.

Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it. I spend a lot of time in Virginia and just found out how easy it is to get a non resident permit there. Training is covered with my DD 214...I love how SOME states make the process as easy as they can without a constitutional carry law..I don't like begging for my rights but with the world on fire right now that argument needs to be set aside for the greater good (and by greater good I mean my own self protection)

Bel Air MVA has an MSP unit that will take the prints electronically, and print them on a card. And they are LE for VA.

    That's where I did mine.

Yes, you have to have an appointment. It was $10. But not sure if it was $10 per set (two cards). We did VA and FL cards at one time. But I THINK it was just $10 per person.

They will not except a card printed on plain paper. It must be printed on card stock cut to exact size.

The finger print service should be able to provide the needed cards.

I purchased my FD-258 cards off Amazon... 5 pack for $5... I went to worth a shot before I bought them and they only had generic cards and told me I needed VA only cards, I told them VA told me I could print the FD-258 on card material and have prints electronically transfered to them and she basically laughed at me and said thats not true, needs to be VA card and real ink. So I will take my cards and business elsewhere.
