Is there nobody else in the vast membership base of MSI who can man a booth besides Shafted? Every show I see his name for shift after shift and wonder how long before he burns out.

If there aren't enough volunteers to cover every show I think the world will keep on turning, better to pick the number of shows that can be properly manned.

We provide MD 2A and self-defense information to any passerby that asks and are always looking for others to join the fight. Often times, other vendors at the shows send gun owners and prospective buyers over to us if they have questions about the HQL, carry permits, whatever laws may becoming down the way, or just general 2A related questions.

By volunteering, your fee to the show is waived.

I am custodian of the "show booth" materials, so I do setup/1st shift, and last shift/takedown. I actually kind of enjoy talking to like-minded people, and occasionally educating someone.

We do seem to be having some bad luck with weather for Saturday afternoon this time but we usually manage to fill in the shows OK.

Mostly you just stand around talking to people at a gun show. There is going to be an experienced hand there both days to show you the ropes, and DC-W already posted a link to the primer we put together.

Can't help set up like I hoped. The forecast may be changing but work still wants us in. Hopefully it will end early or not materialize and can make it for second shift.
